Who the hell was President Obama rescuing: Bowe Bergdahl or the Taliban terrorists themselves?
The questions arises out of the mind-boggling defense of the Bergdahl deal proferred on today's Morning Joe by Bloomberg columnist Jeffrey Goldberg, who argued that by dint of the deal, "the President managed to get five guys out of Gitmo." Well, at least President Obama didn't have to send Navy Seals in helicopters over the Gitmo fence to rescue the Talibans. He achieved his goal with a mere stroke of his mighty pen.

Obama and his Muslims owe Boehner a great debt of gratitude, as no other Speaker of the US House of Representatives has ever demonstrated a stronger refusal to Impeaching a US President.
In all fairness, Obama and his Muslims should be even more grateful to the TEA Party Republicans who have steadfastly supported Boehner, Cantor, McCarthy, Ryan, Issa, Mike Rogers and Peter King of New York for the Republic strategy of “Talking Loudly, but never using the Big Punishment Stick of Impeachment.”
Each day that the current GOP-E Congressional Leadership is allowed to stay in power, is another day that documents that there is no effective difference between the Democrats and the GOP-E Republicans.

They rated it "Pants on Fire," but I wouldn't put it past them to try. If anything, it's a trial balloon to see what people would say/think.
I think the bigger threat is a centrally-controlled group of individuals paying off the modern equivalent of Manchurian candidates while the levers are pulled behind the scenes. If anything, Obama might have an out if it's revealed that V. Jarrett and her cronies are the true power brokers in the WH.
Obama was rescuing himself.
He knew he was breaking the law by not giving Congress 30 days. He knew he was undermining the military and increasing chances our men would be kidnapped in the future. And Obama knew the guy he was trading for was marginal - not a hero - not a SEAL - and quite possible a traitor.
Obama knew the five men he was giving up were top killers.
Obama's in a tough spot politically since ObamaCare - and knows it. This move was high risk for him and his party. He knew that too. Yet he moved unilaterally. Several possibilities... for his actions...

The only benefit I see is that it rallies his lib base behind him, which seems to be the purpose of most of what he's been doing.

Your Benghazi link says nothing about that so I have no idea if you just want to believe that or if there is a actual basis for you believing it.
