The 6 U.S. Soldiers Who Died Searching For Bowe Bergdahl

Army Sergeant Bowe Bergdahl was freed by the Taliban over the weekend after they held him for nearly five years, in exchange for five Taliban leaders, who will spend a year cooling their heels in Qatar. You might have heard about it on the news. Chances are you haven’t heard of the six soldiers who died hunting for him after he went missing, according to military officials. Now that Bergdahl has been sprung—in exchange for five senior Taliban officials, who had been imprisoned at Guantanamo—soldiers who served with Bergdahl are grumbling that he deserted and shouldn’t be hailed as a hero, especially given the resulting cost in American lives. The bile surrounding his rescue is blunt on his Fort Richardson, Alaska brigade’s Facebook page:

“I say we welcome him home with a firing squad.,” one says. “He’s a piece of trash and everyone from [Fort Richardson] knows it the only person less American than that man is the president for giving up 5 hvt’s [High-Value Targets]” “Now he can stand trial for deserting his post,” says one message on his unit’s Facebook page—a sentiment that has garnered 44 “likes”.

I think the tide is slowly turning. This may not end well for BO.

Odd, no reason was given for the pull.

Thanks.

Good Lord, how long until all the deception and criminality of this regime is laid bare? It should have happened a long time ago, and it *is* laid bare, but too many insist on lying and being lied to.

This government respects these families and soldiers about as much as it respects the Holy Bible.

Your outrage and disgust should also be directed towards our congress critters who continue to draw their pay and are mute on the subject.

I wonder if O’Reilly or Kelly of FoxNews will discuss the matter or even invite the ‘Man from CAIR’ so that they can receive a tongue-lashing on national TV.

Don't be too "surprised", they've made it known which side they're on...

In all fairness, I doubt that most of these had as their primary mission to search for him.

According to what I am reading, ground ops WERE dedicated to trying to find him. Of course, at this point it's all hearsay but you can surely have whatever doubts you care to.

This was just an opportunity to release some terrorist and using this pos as an excuse. What these azzhats just did is put a bulls-eye on all Americans as a means to now get an American administration to do what terrorist want. Using this guy was just a convenient way to release them. Nothing more, nothing less.

...but is the entire decision making team incompetent enough to launch this lead balloon and not have thought of every angle?

Obviously yea. They have been caught numerous times not having thought out every angle. Still, no one has gone to jail. They do not fear failure in anything they do. In fact, failure should be assumed now, simply because they have failed at everything.

When Bergdahl walked away from his unit in a combat zone, he knew that his absence would leave an unguarded hole in the defensive plan for his unit. His leaders and fellow Soldiers were depending on him to be where he was supposed to be. He left his fellow American Soldiers open for defeat and slaughter. He didn’t care. It’s one thing to be stupid. It’s a whole bigger thing to be stupid with the lives of your fellow Soldiers. Bergdahl was stupid with the lives of his fellow Soldiers.

Excellent post!! Thank you.

General McKee of the USAF sent his jets from Okinawa with specific orders to blow away all the North Korean boats near the Pueblo if they could get there before the Pueblo entered NK waters. He could not send jets from Japan because of treaty problems and sent them from Okinawa on his own decision. He was removed for his actions. The jets got there about 10 minutes too late. I too was pissed but proud that a US General had the guts to make a decision and act upon it.

I’m not sure even how to describe why nothing is working as it should in our nation or governments. But no doubt when man turns it’s back on God as this nation has and worse. Then the bad guys flourish as we see at all levels....including the man on the street.

Serial killers and people who’s spiritual life is based on how to blow up school children, and moms and teen daughters at the mall, just don’t seem like the kind of guys that you can shake hands with and send them back to the wilds of Afghanistan to rejoin their terrorist force, and trust them to stay between the lines of the job limitations you asked them to sign before you released them from a life sentence.

Well stated. O obviously didn’t think of that ..........
