It’s a mess CAWW so it would be pointless to argue with you.

I think your take is as decent as any.

Look, we both think Obama is a rat dropping. The fact is, the West and Russia compete in that regions. It’s just the way it is, and it will continue to be that way.

U. S. interests, the E. U. Interests, Russia, big money on both sides, it’s all a crap shoot anyway. The place won’t be any better for Russian involvement.

Look at Crimea. They can’t even manage that small area.

As you noted, I do, and we both do care about the average Ukrainian that just wants to go about their work and live their lives. It’s fast how quickly the population makes changes an accepted reality.

You talk to anyone less than 21 years old, and the Ukraine now, is the one they are loyal to. It’s their nation. They love it. They don’t want to lose it. I think those high school kids in Crimea express what a lot of the folks over there think.

Let Russia be Russian, and let the Ukraine be the Ukraine. If the Ukraine wants to go Russian for trade, I don’t really care. If it wants to go West, I don’t care about that either.

Look at the thread the Ukraine was in real terms against Russia. The E. U. military is essentially in a shambles.

Russia has nothing to fear over there. Nobody but nobody wants Russian soil that I know of.

I can buy that....with the exception that there are Russians in the East who want to have ‘a republic’ where they can handle their own affairs yet have Keiv as their Government Capital.

I certainly agree Ukraine isn’t going to be much different then it has been.....for the people...in fact for quite awhile it will be worse than before. That’s what disturbs me most...yet they brought it on themselves this time around.
