This weekend, Obama swapped five dangerous Taliban commanders for one questionable American soldier.
In return, we got one America soldier who, his peers write, abandoned his post to join the Taliban, and who's Islamic-beard-adorned father has worked tirelessly to release more terrorists.
Immediately after this, we have Hagel and Rice 'gaslighting' us with absurd statements, Hagel claiming we did not negotiate with terrorists, when negotiating with terrorists to secure the soldiers release, and Rice claiming that a soldier who deserted his post to join the enemy served the United States with honor and distinction.
It appears that the Islamic-supporting Obama administration gets a three-fer on this one. They get to release five of America's most dangerous enemies; free a radicalized American soldier; and distract from the looming scandals of Benghazi and the Veterans Administration veteran deaths. The Obama administration also gets people talking about this, rather than the new, radical EPA anti-constitutional 'Carbon Cap and Trade' scheme.
This appears to be the modus operandi of the Obama administration: Commit as many scandals as possible, to overwhelm the public and keep a constantly-shifting target. One cannot properly investigate one act of outright treason with this group, because they commit five more acts of treason before nightfall, and freely publicize them so that you are too outraged about those acts, to pursue the original one. We cannot allow Obama to distract us from other scandals by waving around his GI(had) Joe doll.
This is the Cloward-Piven strategy, of overwhelming the system -- but instead of applying Cloward-Piven to the economic state of the country, Obama is applying it to the legal system and enjoying acts of treason.
What is the solution to this Cloward-Piven treason-overload? Pick the very worst act of treason, and pursue it until prosecution is complete. When in front of the press, speak to no other issue. Do not answer the press's questions on the topic at hand, but direct them back to your investigation of treason.
It's diversion to a point; but diversion is presumably about distracting from one thing, or a small several things, to other things.
It's not that diversion is the true and ultimate goal; it is, however, a welcome side effect.
No, it is much more that Obama simply wishes to tear down this system, and what better way than to employ Cloward-Piven on the political and scandal system?
Obama. Hands down.
Yes, I agree. Obama and his crew have been flooding the zone from day one. Today’s distraction is tomorrow’s scandal as another distraction is forming to blunt it....ad nauseum. So far, it’s working. Any other President would have been facing impeachment proceedings by now.
Must be hell...
Certainly you’re not surprised by that.
My pleasure, Laz. A great FReeper/thinker (with a great sense of humor). Thanks for all that you do. Top a great analysis off with a solution and it is very BUMPWORTHY!
(besides, I'm a satisfied customer)
The subject will be changed when the first major blackout hits due to lack of backup capacity.
The naive call it cynicism. The rest of us just call it paying attention.
But . . . there are so many . . . it's hard to determine the worst. Maybe rank them on a scale of 1 to 300?
PING!
Bump from your 242nd satisfied customer! You’re right about the strategy. Everything this regime does gives Alinsky tingles and goose bumps.
What happens when they demand the Blind Sheikh?
Laz- What’s the worst act of treason we should focus on?? There are too many to consider.....
The bent-one was impeached for lying under oath... saying that he was impeached for lying about a blow job only helps entrench the shrugging lowfo voter lies as they parrot “it was only about sex”....
You are right. There was a liberal tonight on Facebook vilifying Nixon (still) and championing zero. And it was beyond reason.
Buuump! And thanks, sweet Laz!
We both know Nixon had his faults. Conservatives sometimes capitalize on them to buttress the idea he was a bad guy. Compared to what we have today, the man was a saint.
He did what he thought was right for this nation. I have absolutely not doubt about that. Was he always right? No. I have some big problems with his agenda.
My bottom line is this. He didn’t hate the United States. He may have been clueless on some matters, but when push came to shove, the guy would have done everything possible to protect us against the terrorist hoards.
This jackass today, and the other dope from Hope, would have sold this nation out for a dime.
That story won’t get told. It’s a damned shame. So when I see our side trash Nixon, I realize I’m probably talking to someone either ten years old or with the strategic grasp of a ten year old.
Yes, he lied under oath....about a blowjob. It’s a throw-away charge used by prosecutors to either force a plea deal or cover up the bungling of a case. It was the weakest, pussy charge that could have possibly been made considering the string of criminal activity of his administration. You know, the trivial, hard to prove stuff like murder, corruption selling national secrets to foreign goverments. Ken star and the committee that drafted those articles are all a bunch of feckless cowards who did this country one of the greatest disservices ever by destroying the credibility of any future impeachment proceedings to the point that it may never be used again.
I don’t care if it’s about a kiss on the cheek. You seem to dismiss lying under oath as trivial. I’m glad those who voted for impeachment didn’t feel that way.
