Miranshah (Pakistan) (AFP) - Freed US soldier Bowe Bergdahl developed a love for Afghan green tea, taught his captors badminton, and even celebrated Christmas and Easter with the hardline Islamists, a Pakistani militant commander told AFP Sunday.

These comments about his ability to still speak English sure were curious as were the comments about his picking up of his ‘capturer’s’ language. I wonder if someone will report on how much language study he did before he left for Afghanistan….. It might prove to be quite revealing with regards to what his intentions were right from the outset.

six US soldiers were killed searching for him in the beginning, that known, probably some Afghan soldiers too. With the intelligence supplied by this deserter I wonder how many more GI’s died??
