Something’s fishy about all of this. Call me cynical but are you telling me the Taliban showed mercy towards an American soldier? Don’t you think they would have savored the opportunity to torture and slaughter this guy, or am I misreading the whole thing? Or maybe they know enough of our political leadership or lack of it that they knew they could use Bergdahl as a bargaining chip on Gitmo.
He was a deserter and empathized with the Taliban more than his country. He ought to be in a cell in the same prison as Johnny “Taliban” Walker Lindh.
