Senator Thad Cochran told reporters this week, Im glad to be involved, in the Obamacare effort. Breitbart.com reported:
When Sen. Thad Cochran (R-MS) goes on the record with reporters, it always seems to bring a surprise or two.
This time, in an interview with veteran Washington Post reporter Dan Balz at a campaign stop, Cochran accidentally called Obamacare an example of an important effort by the federal government to help make health care available, accessible and affordable.
Im glad to be involved in that effort, Cochran added. According to Balz, Cochran was asked how he evaluated the state of play over the health care law. But afterward, a Cochran adviser phoned Balz to claim it was a mixup.
A short time later, a Cochran adviser called to say there was disagreement aboard Cochrans bus about whether the health question had been about Obamacare or the problems at the Veterans Administration, Balz wrote. He said Cochran was among those on the bus who thought the question was about the VA.

The individual mandate is a common thread that runs through Obamacare and Romneycare and its wrong. People should not forced by the government to buy health insurance.
But its what the healthcare industry wanted and I guess there are “freeloaders” showing up at hospitals, but a lot of that would have been addressed with a more secure border, but then again there are interests that want a very open border for the cheap labor it provides them.
Ultimately Obama care will kill the health insurance industry. If we don’t provide an out of pocket tax free replacement option such as restoring health savings accounts a lot of people are going to get hurt.
We don’t need to replace Obamacare, but we do need to undo most of the damage 50 years of private socialized medicine has done to our country and healthcare system.
Simply put the tax code of the Federal Government has driven people’s health savings into collectivized “accounts” called health insurance companies. The problem is these health insurance “Accounts” are not really savings accounts at all, but demographic bombs like that of the federal ‘Social Security’ system just currently a lot better managed.
Nonetheless The effect of theses company’s removing of the individual from the position of being concerned about cost in the making of their health choices over the last 50 years, has invariably led to progressively poor health and higher costs.
This is not a problem we can solve over night. The money simply isn’t there anymore it was squandered long ago.
We need a better way that what I’ve seen in my lifetime.
Healthcare costs started exploding when Medicare and Medicaid came in (LBJ’s Great Society) during the 1960’s.
Those programs represented a partial government takeover of healthcare with the resultant consequences.
