Amid jubilation Saturday over the release of U.S. Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl from captivity by the Taliban, senior Republicans on Capitol Hill said they were troubled by the means by which it was accomplished, which was a deal to release five Afghan detainees from the military prison in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.

It'll take many, many decades and the loss of life in our country will be catastrophic, but at this point; yup, it is needed. I posted on another thread, prep, prep, prep. If you can survive the first year you will be sitting pretty good albeit living at a different standard than what we have today.
It is painfully obvious our government has us as slaves at this point.
I'm slow to anger..and let things simmer, and stew.
But, there are real "tells" here...if I'm reading and digesting correctly.
This whole situation doesn't past my smell test...and is frankly stinking to high heaven.
I will watch from here....but it does look very bad for our current occupant of the White House.
This is just Zero and his administration doubling down on stupid. No surprise.
He’ll get away with it. No doubt about it. Nothing will be done. (I hope I am wrong.)
Lord, please protect those 9000 brave souls we’re leaving behind and hanging out to dry when we pull out of Afghanistan in December.
I am not really sure what you are referring to. Canada has about 20 non-USA international entry points, mostly at airports. If we want to, we can control the influx fairly easily.
The US is still a first world country, so it's not like we will be getting a lot of impoverished, uneducated third world refugees from the south.
I am, however, expecting another wave of political or economic refugees from the US in the next decade or so. Previous refugee waves from the US have been absorbed and most actually were a plus for Canada. So, I figure it will be a wash or a net plus.
Given what his fellow soldiers are saying about this guy, when he gets back home and pulls a Fort Hood episode one day, the media is going to say it was just PTSD and will blame our policy of not negotiating with terrorists for not getting him out earlier.
Black is white and white is black. Good is bad and bad is good.
My wife has been saying this for years and that the end is surely near.
So now obastard spins a deserter as a hero.
What do we do? What can we do?
David didn’t take a Bible to negotiate with Goliath. He killed him and God was on his side.
Honestly I wish Canada Good Luck. Americans, to the south of Canada, are finding our waves are controlling and participating in various criminal activities. Americans (be danged and the laws of America be danged) seems to be what the waves (entering) are telling Americans. There has been very little shooting to this point but with all the waves entering and the waves entering are increasing the criminal activity. The likelihood of those entering all being peaceful and intent on NOT harming Americans is diminishing substantially. I do not wish the same for Canada. Good Luck to our Canadian Friends. We are being overrun with criminals to your south.
This soldier will be sheltered from the press by Obama.
Sounding more and more like this guy left on his own free will to be captured... right up the lefts alley.
Susan Rice is preparing testimony that suggests Bergdahl was released as a result of a Pro-Islamic video.
This quote came from the Czech Republic Observer... . Someone over there has it figured out. We have a lot of work to do.
“The danger to America is not Barack Obama but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the Presidency. It will be far easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to a depraved electorate willing to have such a man for their president. The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Mr. Obama, who is a mere symptom of what ails America . Blaming the prince of the fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince. The Republic can survive a Barack Obama, who is, after all, merely a fool. It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools such as those who made him their president.”
“but it does look very bad for our current occupant of the White House.”
Does it? Will this finally be The thing that has repercussions for him? I don’t see it. He’s able to get away with anything. That’s been proven time and again. What makes this any different?
I’ve always believe that to be the root causation to this countries problems...I cannot throw rocks at the confirmation...
The thing that is really going to bake yer noodle is that the founding principles of this country guarantee any citizen here the right to be dumber than a bag of hammers...
Rubbing a dogs nose in the poo poo does not help fix the problem either...
And when you have politicians that supposedly do agree with you, and know what the problem is, they still can’t do anything about it because they are too much of a coward, politically, to say and do the right thing...
So the floor is open for ideas (solutions) ;-)
The Taliban sees this as a victory for them because it is.
Per the deal, the 5 monsters just released are supposed to stay in Qatar for a year. Yeah right, how are they going to enforce that. Add to that, the rest of the world is watching all this go down. Russia, Iran, China, North Korea and probably Belize is taking note.
Fire them up?
Nothing he does will ever fire them up when their logic is: “obama did it, therefore it is good”
