The company my brother works for forced his division to hire a black kid with 2 years of experience to fill a role. There were two guys with ten plus years who wanted it. Now everyone has to pick up the slack so the unqualified can make the grade. Thank HR and their diversity BS. Imagine working 10 years while some colored chump steps in, not based on merit, but color.
My wife is one of 7 police/fire/ems dispatchers. The department works 4 x 10 hrs with 3 days off. It takes 15 weeks to train a dispatcher to the level required to handle a shift independently with basic competency. My wife knows that one dispatcher is planning to leave. One is pregnant and may not come back. Two others are "unhappy". It is very possible that 4 of 7 will be gone soon. Not a good situation considering how hard it is to hire an applicant that can even complete basic training.
