Over at Commentary, our friend Jonathan Tobin rightly asks Wheres the Outrage Over CIA Outing?
It should be remembered that it was only a few years ago that the same Democratic Party that currently runs the White House was up in arms because the name of a CIA official was leaked to the press . the outrage about [Valerie] Plames outing in the liberal mainstream press was universal and white-hot. An angry Washington press corps helped manufacture a crisis that forced President Bush to appoint a special prosecutor to look into an act that was proclaimed to be nothing short of treason . [W]hat occurred this past week was far worse than anything that happened to Plame. Plame was, after all, serving in an office in Virginia and, while classified, was no secret. By contrast, the CIA station chief whose name was released is in peril every day in Kabul. He is serving on the front lines of a shooting war and the release of his name in this indiscriminate manner may well have compromised his effectiveness if not his safety.
To which I can only say, Amen.
But there is another reason, aside from hypocrisy, why isnt there more outrage over the outing of the CIA station in chief in Kabul: its par for the course. Leaks from this administration have become so regular that no one is surprised anymore when highly classified details like this are revealed.
Consider just a partial snapshot of this administrations record:
Last year, they leaked fact that the Libyan prime minister had approved the US raid that captured a senior al-Qaeda leader in Tripoli which led directly to the prime ministers kidnapping in retaliation for authorizing the raids.
They also leaked the fact that a second raid had been planned against one of the terrorists responsible for the Benghazi attack tipping him off that we were planning to snatch him.
Before that, they leaked the role of a British double agent in breaking up a new underwear bomb plot in Yemen requiring that double agent to be extracted.
They also leaked classified operational details of the bin Laden raid which got a Pakistani doctor who helped us arrested.
They also leaked classified details of a US cyber-attack on Irans nuclear program.
They also leaked the US and Israeli role in creating the Flame virus to spy on Irans nuclear program.
They also leaked the existence of a secret kill list of terrorists targeted with drone strikes.
They also leaked the existence of a secret US drone base in Saudi Arabia.
They also leaked the existence a secret Israeli agreement with Azerbaijan to use its territory in case of a raid on Irans nuclear program.
They also leaked the existence of secret special operations bases in Burkina Faso that were being used against al Qaeda in Africa.
They also leaked the presence of CIA teams in Turkey helping direct aid to anti-Assad rebels in Syria.
They also leaked the existence of a top secret covert action finding authorizing US support for rebels.
Help me out, folks am I missing anything? The leaks go on and on and on.
These are not leaks they are a flood. So is anyone at all surprised that they leaked the name of the CIA station chief in Kabul? After all, its just another ObamaLeak.
That is why theres not more outrage.
The administrations incredible sloppiness is well documented.
However, the reason the public is not outraged is because the media is compromised to such a degree that they no longer provide "news" media.
Biased reports meant to distort or cover up events to favor the marxist' may be media but it is not news media.
That should have probably been are tipping point. Been thinking about that lately wondering if we haven’t missed it.
But you have to consider what Obama considers HIS priorities:
Does “he” (His uber-liber, uber-socialist administration) really have American interests at heart?
Now consider every foreign policy decision, speech, foreign leader, foreign trip (well - except vacations), and foreign award or recognition Obama has chosen since 2008.
In every case, when given a public choice, Obama has chosen American over Israeli;
American (if democrat-donor or government-enhanced) over republican/capitalist/energy/white/male/oil/red state;
European-republics over America;
European-socialist governments over European-republics;
3rd world socialist-republics over European-socialist governments;
socialist-selected governments over socialist-elected governments;
socialist-dictatorships over socialist-selected governments;
communist governments over socialist dictatorships;
Islamic republics over communist governments;
Islamic secular states over Islamic republics;
Islamic dictatorships over Islamic secular states;
Islamic-tolerant states over Islamic dictatorships;
Islamic religious states over Islamic-tolerant states;
Islamic Sharia states over Islamic religious states;
Islamic fundamentalist states over Islamic Sharia-compliant states;
If it is sloppiness it is beyond incredible, which leads me to believe it is a concerted effort to destroy this nation. Taken together with the energy, land management, food, healthcare, economic, welfare, environmental and a multitude of other policies can we doubt that the enemy is domestic?
Those were Obama purposely bragging to the world how much of a strong man President he is.
-PJ
No doubt in my mind. 0bama is a domestic enemy of the U.S.
Make it two sloppies.
The administration is trying to remake the nation into a socialist paradise for which they hope to enrich themselves and retain control. All the while believing that the economy will remain the most robust in history.
Secondly, their execution of their plan is as sloppy as their imagination of the results.
All of those acts were deliberate. That was basically a death sentence for that station chief, and we now see how “easy” it was for Omama to ignore Benghazi that night.
Democrats can do no wrong. They control the media, the message, the social media and everything you can think of. If there is no outcry there, then there is no problem. Just the opposite for a republican, but then who is going to care? The media does not like republicans so they will distort and slander any republican in any way and without impunity. The media says this is just a mistake. Who is going to take them to task over it? FOX tries, but if they are alone, then why bother/ We have to change the minds of Americans and that is not going to be easy.
It’s literally going to take the country looking into the abyss, before people wake up.
Perhaps agents that are too loyal to the U.S. and do not play with Spectre (aka the Globalist) are outed?
