I think it is very much like Third Reich -- and when the truth becomes completely obvious, people around the world will ask "How could they not know?" and the US media and the US Liberals will swear "I wasn't that political! I had no idea these things were going on!"

And the final conclusion may just be: "It was the Republicans fault!! Why didn't they stop it??"
