Ok, here's a thread for tonight. I live in MA so I don't know when the polls close.
Christian was getting a lot of flack from Democrats which made me wonder...why?
Only an establishment supporter could be for Dewhurst.
/johnny
That’s why I voted both times for Christian, he is anti-Straus. I think Sitton ran a better runoff campaign, however. I will vote for all Repubicans on Nov. 4 except for U.S. Senate and land commissioner. I will leave both of those offices blank (an undervote).
They should really change the name of the Railroad Commission, they haven’t had anything to do with Railroads for a long time!
I generally write in someone whom I support. I voted for Coolidge instead of Romney and William Howard Taft instead of McCain. The Constitution doesn’t say you have to be alive to be elected, and while you can be replaced if you die in office, being dead is not the same thing as dying.
I take it you did vote in the primary?
Voting for liberal republicans does really bad things to the country. You wind up with senate republican leadership that gives Reid critical cloture votes so the debt limit can be removed.
It's much more important to get rid of the liberal republicans that enable the democrat agenda first.
I'm working hard toward that goal.
Your republican majority hasn't governed conservatively in the past. They have grown government and driven up spending.
No more. No more lesser evil. Whine all you want, but you won't convince a growing number of us to vote for your liberal republican candidates.
/johnny

I’m glad Do-worst is gone, but I’m not a fan of Patrick. In this case, the race went the right way... but I had the luxury of not having to vote for Patrick to make it happen.
I still have not forgot how Patrick treated Cruz on the air... he has a big credibility gap to recover from as far as I’m concerned.

I love when Republican fundraisers call my house asking my party affiliation (GOP, Democrat or Independent) so they can start their schpeel. I tell them “Conservative” and there’s always a long pause on the other end... they never know how to reply.
Well said!
A Texas Rino is one of the worst kinds of Rinos because, for now, the Choice in Texas is between a Rino and a real conservative... not between a democrat and a republican.
The talking head on the radio tonight (Mark Levin?) was responding to the threat that Obama will act on immigration if the house doesn’t pass a bill. His stance was let him own it. Putting a Rino up there just lets the bad stuff go through with support from both parties. I’d rather they own is because bad ideas eventually go bad... that is why they are bad ideas!
Thanks for sharing. I believe that your attitude will result in Conservatives being out of power for the rest of my lifetime. The combination of demographics, the criminal behavior of the Democrat Party, and the self destructive obsessions of Conservatives will doom us to a permanent position as the powerless minority.
Great job posting the results, tonight, deport. Thanks for all of your efforts!!
Looks like TX drained the swamp, tonight, and sent many an incumbent packing!
Woo hoo!! May God CONTINUE to bless Texas ;)
Two words:
Ted Cruz
That was what Texas has to offer. There are places in the country where pragmatic compromise might be needed... Texas is not one of those places.
Are you ready to tell me that I must vote for a pro-abortion gun grabber if he wins the republican nomination? Because you need to say it straight up, and not be wishy-washy about it.
/johnny
Ratcliffe has been declared the winner.
On a night when Patrick has delivered a great victory for Conservatism and for the State of Texas, you can’t get over the unfortunate fact that Cornyn was not turned out. Patrick’s victory will change Cornyn’s behavior, although probably not his attitude and philosophy. Take what you can get and take the next step forward.
As a NJ conservative who is watching and loves Texas politics (The place where people who believe what I do actually win), I’m curious what some people’s aversion to Dan Patrick is based on?
He seems to be the clear cut better over the incumbent. Is he still a bit RINOish overall though?
Is that code for pro-abortion, anti-gun, pro-amnesty, pro-socialized medicine, and for bigger government? Because that's the kind of 'pragmatic comprise' the GOP seems to favor.
/johnny
G’nite, deport, and thank you again for your diligent returns reporting. See you in.... Missouri?
