RE: Actually His Holiness was misquoted
I’ve noticed this time and again... from homosexuality to income redistribution, and now this, he is ALWAYS being mis-understood and mis-quoted.
Yeah. Right.
I was being sarcastic. The man is a fool.
I doubt very seriously he was misquoted. He obviously doesn’t know about Abbas, and thus spoke out of ignorance. It’s careless on his part.
You have to realize he’s trying to speak for the Palestinians who are Christians first. Like a lot of Popes before him (since Israel was created in 1947). There are still some Christians left, and so he cares about them. They aren’t the ones doing the killing I’m sure.
Again though his words were careless and irresponsible no question. No one can argue with that.
