The fact is, had one of the early (non-BMW victims) been armed, it might have come to a very, very quick end. As it should have been.

Again, please do your research before laying down a dubious assumption. He stabbed the roommates with a knife, separately in their sleep. He then shot two girls standing outside their dorm in rapid succession, bam bam, jumped in his car and sped off. Blocks away, he shot a totally innocent bystander in a convenience store, completely without warning. These are not situations in which people could readily respond or intervene.

Same with the car mowing-down. The only ones who might have been saved by a defensive shot would have been any bystanders whom he wounded from his rapidly moving car, if only anyone had been able to foretell which direction he would next choose. He shot and rammed in over a dozen locations in a half-mile city radius, out the tinted windows of a black car, shielded from view by blocks of buildings. Only a policeman's bullet finally stopped him, when the frenzy had been going on long enough for anyone at all to find him in order to intervene. Most civilians, even those with CC, are not going to go out hunting for a madman shooting out of a speeding car. The cops who did so, depending only on armored vests and Providence to shield them, were very brave.

Some tragedies are just that -- no one could have stopped him once he started the crime spree he had meticulously planned for over a year.

wolf whistle Code Words

I think the meme is "dog whistle" -- meaning so high-pitiched that only a certain audience can hear it, but ordinary people cannot hear it at all.

"Wolf whistle" is a loud, open whistle signalling admiration for a woman's looks, something feminists don't like.

quit presuming I haven’t read.

Your own factual errors indicate otherwise.

Not buying it, You insisted the kid was Arab, based on his looks, among other whoppers.

You are correct — I was confusing you with another poster with a similar screen name containing numbers and letters. My apologies.

It is easier to blame guns than a crumbling society that doesn’t value life.

Choosey mothers killed 1,000,000 plus last year.

Are you still killing your unborn?

closure with shoot-to-kill enforcement tactics

If we had shoot-to-kill enforcement tactics, we wouldn't be the U.S.A., we'd be the USSR. If you think the wrong side won the cold war, good for you, but stop spewing your anti-American B.S. here.

The biggest mass killing of school kids in our history was accomplished with explosives, not guns.

Excuse me, I was speaking of two extremes, not promoting one or the other. It was an example of an extreme as in a solution.

The police paid a home visit to the perp but did not enter. Perhaps the roommates would still be alive if the police had alerted the others living at the address to the perp’s stepmother’s concern about the violent nature of her stepson’s rambling murder plot?

People on the right with a pesky libertarian streak (which I confess to), similarly are afraid to forthrightly maintain that all drugs, even the most pernicious, dangers and powerful drugs, should be legalized if the idea of taking the profit motive out of the drug business is to succeed. Both the left and the right find themselves flummoxed, the right by its inability to sell individual liberty and the left by its furtive yearning for the collective.

The legalization of all drugs brings a dangerous side effect. Depressed loners like this killer would "self-medicate" their mental pain with psychotropic chemicals that would/could cause even more irrational psychotic behavior than the legal prescription psychotropics he was on and off again consuming. IF the criminally insane were locked up before tragedy strikes (but AFTER they have committed offenses like his public terrorist act statements) then legal psychotropes and legal guns would not be an issue. But no one wants to go there, so everyone's liberties are abridged.

His stepmother notified the police well in advance of this attack. They paid him a visit (although his stepmother told him it was his psychotherapist who was behind the police visit).

In his writings he said that he was fearful they would enter the house and find his stash of weapons and his writings.

He said in his writings that he voluntarily removed some of his youtube videos AFTER the police visit so that they would not prevent him from carrying out his planned attack. He’d wanted to strike in April but he was sick (cold?).

where did Rodgers get the idea that all beautiful (blonde) women just dropped their panties for every "alpha male" in the area code?

Probably from his dad's 'photography room'.
