Sadly, duckduckgo also did not recognize Memorial Day.

It's as if Google is deliberately rubbing our noses in the fact that they have no regard for such overtly patriotic celebrations.
They truly are the scum of the earth.

I hate gargoyle (as I call it).
I try to avoid it at all cost, including closing my gmail account and using other search engines. I would love nothing better than to see them crash and fail.
But they’re only getting stronger.

Thanks for sharing. I only use Bing and really like it and appreciate that they always have appropriate pictures up for holidays. My nephew likes the pictures and likes to click on the interactive boxes - good learning experience (for me, too). Won’t use Google - too many privacy issues.

Not typically a fan of Bing and Microsoft. (I'm a Linux/Android kind of guy) But that is just an OS and software thing. I'm really just a practical and pragmatic "use what works" engineer at heart.
This dissing America is a much bigger issue. Been using Bing at work (long twisted IT story), and like it. Well Google, Bing just became my default search engine for use at home too.

I use Internet Explorer and almost all pop-up ads are blocked (not sure if it does it automatically, or if one needs to click on their settings to do so - - not much of a techie - - it just works for me).

History revisionism... let us remember the pedophiles, not the peasant virgins we order to combat to die... nah...

I just don’t let it affect me one way or the other. When we kick up a fuss over this sort of thing, we look ridiculous.
To: SamAdams76
I dropped Sam Adams beers, NOT because they support gays, but because they DROPPED supporting the Irish sponsors of the parades. Didn’t think much of the beer anyway.
Live and let live I say.

Last year Google honored Cesar Chavez on Easter Sunday.
I'm still trying to figure out what contribution Cesar Chavez made to the first Easter Sunday. Was he even there?

I see a small American flag beneath the search window with a yellow ribbon overlaid. The mouseover says “Memorial Day 2014.”
To: george76
They have now added a LITTLE TINY US Flag and a Yellow Ribbon on the bottom center of their page.

Stock images requiring no forethought or planning. Without the military and those who bled and died for freedom, there’d be no Google.
