I just don’t let it affect me one way or the other. When we kick up a fuss over this sort of thing, we look ridiculous.
I dropped Sam Adams beers, NOT because they support gays, but because they DROPPED supporting the Irish sponsors of the parades. Didn’t think much of the beer anyway.
Live and let live I say.
Not really a fuss, just an observation.
I think it's worthy to note. We as consumer can choose to use or not use their services. At some point, Google will lose market share for search and other products. Just like I want to know if a company like Costco or Progressive Insurance is financially supporting my opponents. I happen to continue to use Google personally because it serves me better, but I'd switch in a heartbeat if there were viable alternatives. I've used Bing for search, and it's fine, and I've switched away from Android in part because I don't like Google's practices. I do use their maps because it's the best, and use Analytics and other tools for the same reason. The fact that Google clearly avoids American and religious holidays as much as possible tells us a great deal about the core belief system their top management has....and it's not one that is in anyway helpful to our beliefs or mission to turn around this broken nation.
