We used to swallow fluoride pills every day in elementary school.
Great.
I have drank distilled water for over 20 years. I get my flouride from a natural source in the toothpaste plus a good diet. You also get fluoride in small amounts from almost every vegetable, you don’t need it in the tap water if you eat decently.
A rotting educational system, with kids running wild and parents acting like the kids, might have a lot more to do with ability to learn.
Once I asked my pediatrician why there was ‘baby toothpaste’. She said that it was because babies won’t spit out the paste, but will swallow it, and will ingest the flouride. Older kids and adults will spit out the toothpaste after brushing. But, I usually swallow water, not spit it out. If flouride is something good for your teeth, but you shouldn’t ingest, then why are we putting it in the drinking water?
We lived in an area without fluoride in the water when my children were babies and toddlers. The dr brought it up, the told me not to worry about it. He told me that the cause of cavities in children was usually ‘bottle rot’ where the baby falls asleep with a bit of milk in their mouth. I was told to have them drink a small amount of water after their bottles and this wouldn’t happen.
Worked with both my kids.
Whose idea was it to put fluoride in drinking water anyway?

Just retired from 30 operating a public water supply. 5 deep wells, and no Fluoride. When people asked why we didn’t add that treatment, I told them to just use toothpaste with Fluoride. That way it only goes on your kid’s teeth.
You win the prize.
Flouride is a thyroid inhibitor.
Heck in two years we won’t have an IQ high enough to figure it out OR care.
We raised our two kids on well water (no fluoride). Not a cavity among us for almost 20 years. I had cavities growing up on “city” water.

The human body (or any creature for that matter) has no use for any fluorine compound. In any sizeable quantity, flourine and its compounds are a deadly poison. Fluorine is called “the tiger of chemistry” for a reason.
