You want to know what really ticks me off? It is the fact that some of the goals of the 1995 Fourth World Conference on Women in Beijing have not been met. Oooh! It makes me so angry. I can't tell you how many sleepless nights I've spent just obsessing on that one thought.
Okay, I'm just kidding. Like over 99.9% of normal people out there I really don't even think much about a 20 year old conference. And if I do, it would be to note the irony of a woman's conference in Beijing, capital of a country which forces women into having abortions. However, according to Politico which is obviously trying to artificially raise Chelsea Clinton's political profile with policy wonk "depth," that conference is very much in her thoughts to the extent that it makes her very very angry:

Hey Chelsea, did your parents teach you that oral sex doesn’t count as sex? Does your mother tell you she is a lesbian?

Whenever Webb Hubbell’s daughter speaks, why does the phrase “Dog & Pony show” always spring to mind...?

that conference is very much in her thoughts to the extent that it makes her very very angry... I'd like to get a better feel for the severity here. It's not very descriptive with just a "very very". Is she mad as hell? Or, is she madder than hell? Inquiring minds want to know!

I was actually in China when that event took place.
China was “opening up” and wanted to host a so-called “international event” to give themselves some international PR.
On the other hand, the staid Chinese officials who tried to choreograph the whole thing had no idea of some of the lesbian weirdos and their activities that would show up.
I remember one huge controversy about some “womyn” who wanted to hold a topless protest. After a lot of discussion, the Chinese gave them some corner of a remote parking lot, ringed by security, with only “pre-approved” journalists allowed to enter.

Whenever Webb Hubbells daughter speaks, why does the phrase Dog & Pony show always spring to mind...?Well the presence of the dog is clearly evident and the steaming pile of horse pucky implies the presence of a pony.
