More and more I agree with you. They say isolation doesn’t work - but hasn’t it worked for other countries?
But this does put us into a hashtag diplomacy doesn’t it - we will complain about what is going on but not do anything just like most of the rest of the world. Then what happens when somebody has to face off Iran? China? Russia?
And, how much of what we do is based on what global business wants...the same global business that wants amnesty? Who REALLY provides more than lip service for the defense of the American middle class?
One thing for sure, our current course is the course to bankruptcy. Probably exactly what Al Queda was shooting for in the first place.
We can live just fine with military isolation from foreign lands. Instead, just focus on economic adventures in foreign lands. But to do that we need to stop weakening our corporations via high taxes and choking regulations.
