Online, when the Mets are on, you can switch to an out-of-town station to find Hannity.

Savage replaced Hannity on WVNN in Huntsville, Alabama.

Savage is horrible. The man is the living personification of Verbal Diarrhea.

The guys running Cumulus are idiots.

Savage sells anger. He doesn’t offer ideas. He doesn’t want anything to be done. But he offers a lot of anger.

He’s more in line with the caricature the left-wing has of right-wing talk radio.

Hannity is only useful in the 3 months before an election.

Weiner (Savage) is occasionally useful, depending. Borders, Language, Culture is totally correct though.

quote from the article...

Hannity is an indelible voice of the modern conservative movement. His very persona – upbeat, optimistic, straight to the ideological point at hand – is, as they say in conservative shorthand, decidedly Reaganesque.

Savage talks as if he loves the sound of his own gravelly voice.

As long as his earphones keep working, even if he's the only one listening, I'm sure he'll be content.

I gave Savage a chance but - his show rolls out like he has Adult Attention Deficit Disorder - he’s all over the place most of the time. Plus - his bragging about taking Hannity’s slot got to be a bit obnoxious.

Savage is more suited to nighttime talk, and more suited to being based in San Francisco. He should've stayed where he was.

Hannity though has gone downhill with all the banter between him and his crew. It's awful.

Our local station replaced Savage 2-3 years ago. Savage spent half his time savaging other conservative talk-radio hosts.

Is Savage even on in NYC anymore?

NYC morning drive time radio is dead, btw. There is Imus and NOTHING else.

I’ve been listening to Terri Gross on NPR on Sirius, that’s how bad it is. (Mike Church is on Sirius Patriot and folks may like him and that’s OK, but he does nothing for me.)

There’s an opportunity there for SOMEONE!

I enjoy Savage.
Hannity? It’s a serious challenge to listen more than a few minutes...

Neither is great, but I’ll take Savage, not for his political poin t of view, but for entertainment value-—

In 1988, I listened to Rush to find out what was going on.

Now, WHEN I listen, it’s to find out how much of what I know is going on he won’t have the courage to mention.

Hannity is well-meaning and sincere, but he is quite predictable, a one-trick pony.

Savage is unpredictable, an enigma. As others have said, he is all over the place.

For breaking news, I'd choose Hannity. But for political commentary and overall entertainment, it's Savage hands down.

This is kind of an interesting phenom, and I suspected it would occur, but I didn’t think it would get this dramatic. I like Savage sometimes, but a steady diet...no. He *is* a crank. He’s rarely charming and funny but overly self-indulgent IMO. I get tired of Hannity a lot, but I appreciate his energy and the fact that he can repeat things ad infinitum. Not that I find that entertaining, but it’s IMO an important thing to develop conservative bumper stickerisms. I seriously dislike Hannity’s obsequiousness towards Rove and some other RINOs. Bottom line, for me, I don’t make it any kind of a point to listen to Sean as I do with Rush or Levin.

I didn’t think Savage would have anything near the general appeal of Hannity, with all his (to me) faults. I’m happier that there *is* a Sean Hannity than there isn’t, even if he isn’t my preference per se. Savage has some audience contempt issues that to me have got to turn off many listeners.

Remember when Palin said she’d baptise terorists with waterboarding...and some splinter of the very religious took offense to her use of the term “baptisim”. Levin defended her. And then one columnist of zero import took Sarah/Levin to task for blasphemy. Under those articles, I saw lots of folks who (via comment) took offense to Levin’s tone, his passion. Well, suffice it to say, I like his passion and yes, even yelling. Those are the people I have learned from, not the milquetoasts.

Savage has issues, yes. But to say that Hannity isn’t a whiny, sniveling little puss is funny.

Well how long can you listen to hannity ask every guest on radio and tv the same question?

Honestly the guy takes from everyone else’s show. I only watch him for his guests. Bring back Alien Colmes. At least he made sean look smart.

I almost hate to admit that I listen to Savage. He obviously has a severe personality disorder. I guess I listen to see just how absurd he can get with his disdain for the other talkers. In my opinion, Rush is still the king.
By the way, I get my US radio via DAR.fm service. It is great for those who can not listen live. www.dar.fm
