The ignorance about the Hindu religion is astounding even on FR which is usually populated with sane people. Is there a history of Hindu’s killing non Hindus en masse other than in response to Muslim invasions ?
Is there a religious endorsement in any Hindu text to kill infidels ? Have Hindus killed innocent people globally ? And the comment about Hindu Sharia law is borderline offensive.
Yes there are small sects of Hindus who have a nationalist streak and have engaged in heinous acts even against Christians. However it is very isolated and has no religious endorsement and is in no way anywhere close to the scale of Muslim mass killing. Hinduism as a religion is perhaps the most tolerant of any and the vast majority of Hindus, me included view Christianity in a very positive light and see no reason at all to hate or harm them. They have done immense good in India and of course the greatest nation on earth...America is based on judeau christian values and I am glad it is.
The mindset of your average Hindu in India is nothing like your average Muslim. Muslims are raised to hate and kill infidels. Hindus are raised to do exactly the opposite and there is no evangelical strain in Hindusim of any sort and no concept of killing infidels.

There are some rabid anti-Hindus here. A few years ago there were more intersting discussions about actual Hinduism, but I haven’t seen any for a while.
An interesting book about the history of Islamic invasion as well as some European atrocities is “Crimes Against India” by Stephen Knapp, very well researched. I could only read a few pages at a time, as it was so graphic. People have so many misconceptions and wild prejudices against India in general and Hinduism in particular, very sad.
Some of the aforementioned knuckleheads impeded her work at first but, so far as I am aware, there were never death threats . I've know a lot of Hindus over my working life and they come in many varieties. A family we were friends with in Japan even told us they were perfectly okay with meat when we invited them over for dinner. My wife had prepared a number of vegetarian dishes, just in case. But they were good to their word.

Hindutva promotes “one people, one language, one culture”, endorsing cast discrimination and discrimination against religious minorities which should be subdued or wiped out in the name of Hindu supremacy.
Hindus have a deep hatred for Islam, due to 800+ years of persecution, but there is nothing like that for Christianity.
On the contrast, Christians are part of the landscape -- most go to Catholic schools or colleges or hospitals, they have Christian friends who nowadays have Indian rather than Western names, and the British were not big promotors of Christianity so it does not come as "the religion of the conquerors"
Hindus cannot be riled up by the BJP with the slogan "let's attack Christians" -- but say "let's attack Moslems" and you'd get a following. Even the most rabid Hindus find it hard to work up the ire to attack Churchs
People on FR must realise that Hinduism, while very different from Christianity, is an ally against Islam.
