More than one in four Germans hold anti-Semitic views, according to a report released on Tuesday by the non-profit Anti-Defamation League (ADL). The figure is far higher than most other northern European countries.
Based on a worldwide survey of 53,100 adults across 101 countries, a global average of 26 percent of people can be classed as anti-Semitic, the Anti-Defamation League said.
ADL researchers classed respondents as anti-Semitic if they answered probably true to six out of 11 statements classed as anti-Semitic stereotypes in their questionnaire.
The most common anti-Semitic belief was Jews are more loyal to Israel than to [this country/the countries they live in], which was seen as probably true by 41 percent of respondents worldwide and 45 percent in western Europe.

war-guilt meant any German who let out a peep about opening the immigration flood-gates to the most rabid, lazy Arabs was denounced as a Nazi.
Now about one if four Germans is a Western Civ-hating parasite, openly contemptuous of every aspect of civilization, especially including Jewish people.
Is there any surprise...?
And do you know what these Arab men do? They marry ONE fellow Arab woman legally, then import three more and marry them, too, but in a Mosque ONLY.
Then these three go to city hall and make up a silly story about being knocked up by some “German boy they met in a disco”.
And Germany has to pay for “these poor jilted women” and the kids, who will all be raised as Germany-haters.
I’m sorry, but this struct me as rather odd. What is the purpose of the report?
So, one in 4 are democrats.
I can see how answering yes to the question if Jews are more loyal to Israel is rather presumptive, but is it really anti-Semitic? If I lived in Germany as an American, they could question my loyalty too. It shows a bias in what you presume to be true, but is it really hateful?
A real breakthrough came with the author who turned the supposition, that Goebbels turned Germans into antisemites, on its head, by showing that in many cases, Goebbels was just “preaching to the choir”, telling antisemitic Germans what they wanted to hear.
The truth is that there is antisemitism in most European countries, and with very deep roots. And while for a while they might suspend their hatred, it is still there, just beneath the surface.
Secular, Protestant, or Catholic, it doesn’t really matter in that each can claim their fair share of the hatred of the Jews.
But if they want this charge to have any impact, it's poor timing releasing this in the Summer of accusing everyone of being racist, homophobic, transphobic, etc.
> a global average of 26 percent of people can be classed as anti-Semitic, the Anti-Defamation League said.
> ...the highest number of anti-Semites were recorded in Greece, with 69 percent
Wow. Misleading title.
Foxman seems to be working overtime to undermine the ADL.
“The figure is far higher than most other northern European countries.”
“The German result was high when compared with other northern Europeans such as Netherlands (five percent), Denmark (nine percent), Sweden (four percent), the United Kingdom (eight percent) and Norway (15 percent).”
In both Holland and Scandinavia people are very politically correct, they will lie even in anonymous polls just to not look like racists.
Besides...
“The most common anti-Semitic belief was “Jews are more loyal to Israel than to [this country/the countries they live in]”, which was seen as ‘probably true’ by 41 percent of respondents worldwide and 45 percent in western Europe.”
well, some are, some aren't, I would go for “probably true” too. Financial markets ? One of the biggest investment banks is Goldman Sachs Inc. not Kunta Kinte Inc. Totally different issue is If “something should be done about it”. Of course not. To single out real anti-semites they should ask questions like “should Jews be banned from Wall Street, governments etc.” and at least try to adjust it to PC approach of locals. Now you get “1/3 of people in country x are anti-semitic” results, which are rather pointless as everyone knows that in general nothing wrong happens to Jews in these places.
I read through the survey. I’d almost always want to answer “How in the world would I know the answer to that?”
Anyone who thinks the real danger to Jews nowadays is whether some Greek running a kiosk in Patras gives the politically-correct responses to a questionnaire instead of the fact that the crazies in Iran are trying to get nukes to drop on Israel is nuts.
Fixed it.
Would it really be so hard for them to tell us what the other 10 questions were so we could decide the validity of the survey?
I finally told one couple my dad kicked their dad's asses on Utah Beach.
~but most Germans I’ve met were extremely arrogant~
True. I thought about this too. Germans are perfectionists of the highest grade and any sign of ‘imperfection’ is really annoying for them. Their worst nightmare is not to make things done, or make it bad (bad = below 100% perfect by their book). They are in constant stress for that reason.
Needless to say that anyone who has different perception of life (or people of any other culture, probably with the exception of Japanese who actually resemble the Germans on that matter) considered annoying imperfections which makes Germans mad.
That is a background behind a German arrogance. On the other hand, Germans are mostly emotionally dude. It contributes to their inability to communicate with people, including between themselves.
It is a primary reason why their mechanical perfection hasn’t conquered the world. No matter how able you are to make things done, you won’t force your way against the rest of ‘imperfections’ who you despise and fail to communicate with.
