Indiana police say two officers have been placed on administrative suspension after they used a stun gun on an unruly child at a home day care.
A news release from the mayor's office and the Martinsville Police Department said the officers responded to reports of a 10-year-old who was out of control at Tender Teddies Day Care Tuesday night, reports WRTV in Indianapolis
...The department says that when the officers arrived the boy was out of control, hitting and kicking and refusing to listen to them.
The department says the officers used a stun gun and slapped the boy to subdue him.

OMG #14 is hilarious!!!! (in a sick, scary sort of way)
Their out of control. We need to change that “Serve and protect” crap.
Heh, they were just tenderizing him. At least they went home safe, that’s the most important thing.
A particularly vicious rabbit with teeth that gnash and tear.
If a person who is not a parent and not a (government school) teacher touches a child, it becomes grounds for legal action by Child Protective Services. So, either get the parents, the cops, or Child Protective Services to come in. They claim to be the only entities qualified to handle unruly children, and they will use the courts to punish those who undertake self help.
I know and that’s complete crap. Freaking lawyers. These little jerk kids know you can’t do anything to them as well. I am glad I am old because when these little jrks are adults it’s going to be “Lord of the Flies”, out there. I hope everyone is happy.
Somebody above posted that the day care provider's reality restrains them from using any kind of force. Parents sue, child protective services initiates legal action to take away their license, maybe criminal sanctions depending on the local DA, may of which are nut jobs in their own right.
All of that gets settled in court, and there is a significant probability that your judge will be a nut case too - so just call the cops, and let them take the heat.
Ummm. I was saying the opposite.
At 94 pounds, this is no hulking man-child (of which there are existing examples), but rather what you’d ordinarily think of as a ten year old in size.
Hey! -how come I’m not on your jbt ping list?
I wonder if Jim Glenning of the Street Survival Seminar would be willing to take on this incident as an example of how the police did everything right?
I plow this right bak to the feminists.
Because there are only two ways to get on the list.
If you are a rabid copsucker I will automatically add you, as you obviously enjoy defending the latest outrage under color of authority.
Or if you are interested in tracking and deploring abuse, and ask to be on the list, I will cheerfully add you by request.
(Strangely enough, some copsuckers hate being on the list and threaten to have me banned if I ping them! Go figure!)
“This is my standard observation about these circumstances:
People call the police when something physical needs to be done and they cant for liability reasons, do it themselves. Its like store employees being told not to interfere with shoplifters.
Parents want to sue at the drop of a hat. Parents of the type that would have an uncontrollable child maybe more so. Tough situation to be in”
BINGO - we have a winner.
Can’t sue cops, but they will sue the living **** out of a day care outfit. One of **many** businesses I would never attempt these days.
Sorry, I misunderstood your post.
Sounds like this kid was psychotic. I’m not sure if they did the right thing, but after a family member told me about a psychotic kid that they had to call the sheriff deputies on, it’s caused me to rethink this. The kid in question (sister’s grandson, age 11) in my family’s case was throwing rocks at the deputies when they arrived, he was completely out of control. They didn’t taser him, but they were pretty rough , in getting him under control. He’s in a group home for troubled children now, and on a lot if medications. Who knows, maybe that’s the case here.
Ha! :-)
But I don't care how out of control a child is, he is still a child and two grown men should be able to take care of the situation without a tazer, for the love of God! Where have all the men gone?
