THIS IS FOR THE SOUTH AND MIDWEST
(NORTHEAST, WEST, AND CALIFORNIA are in separate threads and updates are coming, see links below)
This is an update of previous threads.
There are numerous important House Primary Races! And places where we can WIN! PLEASE contribute! And if you can't contribute money ... the least we can do is go to their pages and give them a "like" or a tweet. All of these candidates are involved in primaries that are close (or could be close) against generally more moderate or liberal Republicans. All of these districts are winnable in November.
Georgia:
BARRY LOUDERMILK, GEORGIA-11, MAY 20th ... Open Seat
Endorsed by: Family Research Council, Concerned Women of America, Freedom Works, Senate Conservatives Fund

Loudermilk has a shot to sneak past opponent Bob Barr or opponent Ed Lindsey to finish in 2nd place and make the run-off. He appears to have more support than fellow conservative Tricia Pridemore, who is likely to finish in 4th place. The district is R+19, so this primary is a big deal.
Alabama:
Scott Beason, ALABAMA-6, June 3rd ... 2 CONSERVATIVES trying to get into the run-off in this OPEN SEAT.
GARY PALMER, ALABAMA-6, June 3rd ... 2 CONSERVATIVES trying to get into the run-off in this OPEN SEAT.
Endorsed by: Gary Bauer, Ralph Reed, Tony Perkins

Conservatives Palmer and Mathis need to get into the run-off in this crowded primary. I think you will find that their opponents Brooke and DeMarco are not conservative enough for FreeRepublic, Alabama-style. Conservative Chad Matthis has spent his campaign resources attacking Palmer and Beason. Article on AL-6 poll is here.
Florida:
Lorenzo Palomares-Starbuck, FLORIDA-26, AUGUST 26th ... Winner takes on vulnerable DEM Rep. Joe Garcia in this R+4 district
Lorenzo Palomares-Starbuck -- FACEBOOK -- TWITTER -- DONATE
Opponent Curbelo is a big favorite to win the primary, but there are still 3 months to beat him. Either Lorenzo, with his grassroots campaign, or Dade County Commission Chairman Joe Martinez will make a challenge. Frontrunner Curbelo is a vocal supporter of "same-sex marriage".
Curbelo: "I have many gay friends. They are hard-working people. They love this country. And quite frankly I think most of them would be Republican if some in our party wouldn't express themselves in such an unfortunate way." Read more here.
Palomares-Starbuck: "Free enterprise is protected under the Constitution by the freedom of Association clause, under the First Amendment, under the right to privacy among other, a tax law scheme that is predicated on income base taxation tends to discriminate against those who endeavor to create wealth in the society."
Iowa: I am listing 2 candidates in the IA-3 race
MONTE SHAW, IOWA-3, JUNE 3RD ... Open Seat
Endorsed By: Greg Ganske, Former Congressman, Jon King, brother of U.S. Rep. Steve King
MATT SCHULTZ, IOWA-3, JUNE 3RD ... Open Seat ... 2 CONSERVATIVES trying to win this 6-way race.
Endorsed by: Rick Santorum, Tea Party Express, Senate Conservative Fund

Both candidates are getting conservative groups to support them. Hopefully, the folks in the district will do what is necessary to put one of them in first place on June 3rd over opponents Young and Zaun.
Michigan:
John Moolenaar, MICHIGAN-4, August 5th .... OPEN SEAT
JOHN MOOLENAAR -- FACEBOOK -- TWITTER -- DONATE
This race is just getting started, for Dave Camp's seat. Moolenaar is running against Paul Mitchell. The race needs further research by us. "I will be a strong conservative voice for the hard working families of mid and northern Michigan. In Michigan I have fought against overreaching government policies that are killing jobs and over burdening individuals, said Senator Moolenaar."
Michigan:
Tom McMillin, MICHIGAN-8, August 5th .... OPEN SEAT
TOM MCMILLIN -- FACEBOOK -- TWITTER -- DONATE
This race is just getting started, for Mike Roger's seat. McMillin is running against Mike Bishop. The race needs further research by us.
McMillin's argument is here.
Hmm well it appears he’s stuck his foot in his mouth in the past. I would tend to agree with Blackwell that we could do without that, but I have reject his choice, Doc Mathis, because of the false attacks.
I’d probably vote for Palmer if I lived there.
G’night, TGIF, and have a great weekend! APoD will be late on Saturday and perhaps Sunday, I have plans for the weekend — a most uncharacteristic problem for me.
Just like wearing a colored ribbon to show your support for gays rights, breast cancer etal.
It therefore is exactly what I first posted, it makes you "feel warm and fuzzy" just like a good liberal would.
Like and tweet are two ways to say "attaboy" but the pol still just wants your money {or if you live in his district, your vote}.
I like you conservativeman, boy do I feel good now.
BookMark
Michigan 8 - That district is just north of me. Tom McMillin is backed by Justin Amash. Mike Bishop is backed by Mike Rogers. Rogers and Amash hate each other.
New poll shows wide open race in OK-5.
I have no idea which is the best candidate in that race, and apparently neither do the GOP primary voters.
News from Kansas, ex-Congressman Todd Tihart is running for his old seat against incumbent Mike Pompeo. I guess Tihart is painting Pompeo as a RINO, I’m not that familiar with Pompeo’s record.
Ping
I wish they could both serve in Congress.
I’d have liked to see someone step up against Lynn Jenkins rather than Pompeo and Roberts. Jenkins has NO primary challenger as far as I know, not even a random nobody.
Turns out Jenkins does have a challenger, some random Paulbot. Ugh.
You know I’ve been under the impression that Jenkins was a RINO (she was thought to be when she first ran) but her record looks good.
Lynn Jenkins was reputed to be a social liberal or moderate—specifically, she had a “pro-choice” record on abortion—but her voting record has been good in Congress, and actually has been perfect on abortion. Of course, most of the abortion votes in Congress sibce she got elected have been in the context of taxpayer financing, which is something that even many “pro-choicers” oppose.
Conservative State Senator Neil Riser decides against a second run for Louisiana’s 5th district.
Meanwhile, RINO incumbent Vance “I will screw my friend’s wife” McAllister continues to dicker on whether he will actually retire, as he previously said he would. And one Zach Dasher, a relative of the reality tv family who idiotically helped McAllister win, announces his run for the seat.
speaking of endorsements. brett favre is campaigning for thad cochran. favre might be more excited about cochran for senate than cochran himself.
Makes sense, I heard he was a democrat. Go frack yourself, Brent. What's your fee, a lifetime supply of Summer's eve?
Cochran's open seeking of rat votes disgusts me. The MS legislature needs to CLOSE the primaries.
