A Terrifying GIF Of An Ice Age Ripping Through The US

The northern ice cap creeps over earth.
As we watch glaciers around the world recede, we sometimes hear the argument that these changes are part of the Earth's natural fluctuation. To some extent, they are.
We've been in a relatively stable and warm period for at least 15,000 years. And we are unnaturally making the Earth even warmer. Before that, ice ages covered most of the Northern Hemisphere with glaciers.
The last of the five major ice ages, called the Pleistocene glaciation, began about 1.5 million years ago. It is thought to be caused in part by the Earth getting less of the sun's warming radiation because of the pull of other planets in our solar system.
The Pleistocene glaciation contained at least 20 ice fluctuations within it, in which ice advanced and receded. Sometimes, up to 30% of Earth was covered in ice.
At times this included the better part of North America California became almost completely entombed in ice. Today, evidence of the glacial takeover can be found as far down as southern California's San Bernardino Mountains.

No more 100+ degree summers! WO-HOO!
In the plains area they have the ice thousands of miles farther south than it got last time.
That runs counter to the evidence.
Based on that GIF, your best bet would be to invest in real estate in California.
Soon, you will enjoy meals-on-tracks with pure glacier water in the coming Global-Climate-Warming-Change-Ice-Age! ;^)
The last continental glacial advance was not nearly that large. Came as far south as Middle Illinois.
I would have guessed for a bigger 'droplet.'
Awesome, the U.S. now has all the water!!!
The ‘gloom and doom’ man.
Prove it.
Buy more peanutbutter.........
And we are unnaturally making the Earth even warmer.
Stopped reading there.
This happens in Minnesota every winter. Wierd.
Nothing to worry about. New taxes and green lifestyle changes will prevent it from happening.
Most of the continental land masses are north of the equator. We just need to tilt the Earth upside down, so the land masses shift more equally around the equator. That'll melt the ice. Hey, my solution is just as good as the Climate Change hysteria theories.
Or we could just put some coals on the BBQ, and eat some franks and beans. Between that and the farts, no ice will be coming our way.
Thank you, Blam.

Really Les...really?
You have irrefutable proof of how much warming has occurred, and how "we" caused it....I assume.
Or are we supposed to just stupidly take your word for it?
Yup. And along those long lost coasts — the antediluvian civilization(s)
