The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has proposed changes to oil refinery rules that would compel operators to monitor benzene emissions, upgrade storage tank emission controls, ensure waste gases are properly destroyed and adopt new emission standards for delayed coking units.
The move is part of a consent decree that resolved a lawsuit filed by nonprofit environmental attorneys with Earthjustice and the Environmental Integrity Project.

Obama promised a war on coal and oil.
Crucify them.

That’s okay. They can just huddle under their solar panels or catch the breeze off of their windmills. Sure it will warm them right up.
In the meantime I did turn the fireplace on a bit last night even though it’s mid-May in our part of Texas where we set a new record low temperature.
The refineries should refuse to comply and threaten to shut down completely in September. Let the pipelines run dry just in time for the record cold that will probably be the new norm for our winters. Let Obama and his affirmative action flunkies burn their furniture to keep warm.

More “Sue and Settle”
Lawyers need a little income boost.
So he ordered his EPA czar to agree to allowing the suit to proceed so they could settle it with ...more restrictions, higher costs to refiners, higher costs to consumers, more EPA staff to monitor these refiners and find more "violations" to extort more fines for, which is all just exactly what they both wanted, a two-fer for the military/industrial Enviro-Fedzilla complex. The E-F'ers have the racket set up this way. Organized crime.
Time to countersue these groups for harming the national security interests of this country. Force them into court day after day, week after week. If one suit gets tossed, file four more.
Make it so painful and expensive for them that when they start whining, they get ridiculed. Have people camp out on their front porches.
Basically Alinsky them.
Literally. I feel it is time to return to that old Roman punishment.
Here we go again.
EPA proposes new regs.
EPA imposes new regs.
Refiners have to scramble to come up with the funds to comply.
They then pass the cost on to users of fuels.
Price of everything goes up and we all end up paying for the new regs.
bohica.
