So he can’t be all bad, hmmm?

But you can’t bring this striped polecat in here, reeking and spraying—possibly rabid—and say:
“Wanna pet my cat?” and expect us to reply,
“Sure, why not?”

Actually, I very rarely think anybody is "all bad." If that's the reaction to certain people that I should be striving for, then I guess my parents failed me in that regard.
