Moscow is banning Washington from using Russian-made rocket engines, which the US has used to deliver its military satellites into orbit, said Russias Deputy PM, Dmitry Rogozin, who is in charge of space and defense industries.
According to Rogozin, Russia is also halting the operation of all American GPS stations on its territory from June 1.

Oops, sorry for the double post.
Rossiya Segodnya (official name: Federal State Unitary Enterprise International Information Agency Rossiya Segodnya; from Russian: Россия Сегодня, Russia Today) is the official Russian government owned international news agency founded by presidential decree on 9 December 2013. I get RT on dish, channel 280, right above Chicom TV.
I wonder if Keglegs can actually see that reset button when she’s wearing her beer goggles?
You gotta be a little more optimistic: I and 100 million of my closest friends are armed to the teeth with 300 million privately owned firearms. As soon as we can get the DC trash out of the way we’ll re-assume our top spot in world affairs.
True
0dumb0 is a tiddly wink! Must be getting close to the time for another speech! Ah, er, um, straw man, ah, er um, etc.
So what are they going to do, detach their module and emergency Soyuz capsule?
The intelligence of outsourcing on full display. Enjoy. But at least a handful of Mohammadans feel good about the translating and copying of Greek textbooks from a while back.
I feel like making the voting process for Congress and the Senate would be a good thing to do.
Do away with simply voting “present,” and force each and every one of them to vote ‘yes’ or ‘no’ on something.
If we are using Russian Rocket engines for military launches we were in trouble long before Obama decided to stick his Noses in Russian & Ukrainian affairs.
“The US buying military related stuff from Russian doesnt sound like a great idea.”
Looks like Putin has already done more for our security than Obama, despite Obama’s best efforts. Lol
“Obama: Thats okay! We dont need to go into space anymore anyway! Space is racist!”
Remember the Constellation program?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Constellation_program
Before Obama has any uses for Rockets to ascend to the heavens he don’t seem to have any interest in.
Or, as someone else phrased it, “Putin was pulling fingernails out of dissident journalists while The Won was still puffing blunts in the Choom Wagon.”
Maybe. It was the Poles the last time.
So what are they going to do, detach their module and emergency Soyuz capsule?
No, actually the russian astronauts will petition PUtin
to be accepted into the Federation and customs and
border check point will divide the station. Unfortunately
all the docking ports will be in Russia.
Have a nice day, your passport Da?
Your rhetorical question stabs right at the underlying problem with America. We no longer are a nation of producers and creators. The America we now live in is one of consumers and destroyers.
A free society can not exist when there is no real appreciation for other people's time and effort. Instead we have wage slavedom of filling out and faxing TPS reports... no real, useful, creative work... and everyone wants their cheap plastic dog turds from Wal*Mart... shipped over by the containershipload.
It did for about five minutes, 10-12 years ago, when we were looking at withdrawal of the F-14 from service (thanks to Big Dick Cheney and "41") with no replacement anywhere close to its performance in sight. (Still the situation, we're just forging ahead without a solution.)
At that time, someone put forward the idea in forums like this one of buying and licensing Su-33 airframes from Sukhoi, and then engining and equipping them like F-14's over here. That was the idea. Su-33's are rangy like the F-14D "Bombcat" and they're capable of carrying a big missile like the AIM-54B/C Phoenix. (The Su-33 can carry the big R-33/33E "Amos" "AWACS-killer" LRAAM and so would presumably be capable of carrying AIM-54 and AIM-120 "Slammers" and the Pegasus ASAT/ABM weapon.)
Competing and better ideas were dragging out the F-14 followon blueprints Grumman had in a drawer somewhere (there were three versions, hot, medium-hot, and super-incandescently hot).
We're trying to get by with the much-shorter-range, Phoenix-less F/A-18 E/F "Superbug". Which is bad news, since we're going to have trouble protecting the carriers, the Fleet, and our MEU's ashore with the aircraft and carrier shortage we've been hobbling along with since 2005. We just haven't yet had our butts exposed by a major conflict so far -- we've been lucky.
Bugs and Slammers is a virtuous combination, don't get me wrong, but they haven't anything like the range, payload, and combat virtuosity that the F-14's loaded up with Phoenix missiles did. It looks like our luck is running out now, as China and Russia muscle up to take us on, and even the Iranians want a piece of us.
Front Row?!? More like we are on stage... and the curtain is lifting after the 2nd intermission.
