Rush likes this. He is very controversial. I think he should not have made fun of trying to save the young girls. They seem to be making strides on trying to find them. Conservatives need to pick the battles that make sense. Making fun of kidnapped young girls might not be the best option. However, Rush is making news and that is what he does best.

You didn’t read the article....you apparently read the MSM. You didn’t listen to Rush

Rush did not say anything about not saving the girls. Rush said the #/////// campaign was a joke. It was a feeble attempt to pretend tho do something. The feeling created is the liberal product that is in effect a worthless meaningless pretend to do something

The bottom line is that the Wookie is an international joke, a buffoon, that thinks the # appeal is meaningful.

Dude, you had a humor by pass, and it was extremely successful.

Obviously, Rush’ material is over your head. FTR, Rush did not “make fun” of the girls - nor did he make fun of any legit efforts to try and save him. He simply pointed out that a hashtag is not a legit effort to save them, and that most of the people who had joined in on the hashtag campaign didn’t even know who the girls were.

Rush was NOT making fun of the kidnapped girls...infact he was angry that the Clinton State Dept did NOT classify BocoHarem as a terrorist organization (because of race and their religion). BocoHarem was allowed to grow because of PC run amuk in our foreign policy.

What Rush did make fun of was earnest, concerned looking celebs (esp FLOTUS) photographed holding a sheet of paper with #BringBackOurGirls...rush ranted that it’s all STYLE (look at me, I care...see my tweets!) over substance (actually going after BocoHarem For their KILLING of thousands of African Christians—where was that outrage or hashtag!—BEFORE the kidnappings of the girls).

Rush was not making fun of the girls. If you don’t want to listen to the show, you can go to the FR Rush Limbaugh daily thread which will comment on what he says. You will get an accurate idea of what he said. He said nothing of the sort.

I have long thought that what benefits Rush Limbaugh directly (controversy gets him ratings), isn't what translates into getting votes for conservatives.

One could easily argue that (aside from Michelle Obama, who is clearly doing it for attention), regular people are hashtagging SaveOurGirls to get the attention of politicians, not Boko Haram. These girls were missing for two weeks before much was said on the news - all most people saw was the #SaveOurGirls stuff.

The people who have tweeted #SaveOurGirls or posted it to Facebook have been across the political spectrum as far as I can tell.

This was tone deaf at best. If joking about the kidnapping and probable rape of hundreds of children is funny or an opportunity to make a statement, I guess I just don't get it.

If making fun of regular people is funny or an opportunity to make a statement, I guess I just don't get that, either.
