he needs to reexamine his “humor”. He is not really funny.
So is Limbaugh mocking the #bringbackourgirls hashtag because he thinks Michelle Obama started it? Because if so then he’s wrong - it was created well before Obama picked up on it. Is he mocking it because he doesn’t think it will have any effect on finding the girls? Because if so then what does he suggest we do? Or is he mocking it because he doesn’t care about the girls one way or the other?
Stewart is a classless Clown, performing for the low information Crowed !
Since when are you a big defender of today’s politicians?
I just turned 30 during the Reagan Revolution. I am happy and proud to have gone to one of the inauguration parties held by the Young Republicans of New York City. It was a dizzying time to be young and conservative. Nothing since then has been so engaging. And it’s yikes, not yieks.
Defending today’s politicians? I am not saying a word about a politician. I am stating that the entire United states wants to see these girls home with their CHRISTIAN parents. I can’t believe you would rather see them raised Muslim in a detention camp. I think you are incredibly great on 99.9 percent of the issues and discussions and a wonderful person, but I can’t get on your page with this one.
I heard the broadcast. Limbaugh was making fun (as I did) of the first lady - married to the leader of the free world - for having to resort to holding up a cardboard sign and taking a selfie of herself. It showed everything you needed to know about this abominable administration. He made no mention of when the campaign started because it was immaterial to the discussion.
He was most assuredly NOT making fun of kidnapped Christian girls sold into slavery. He did not say he didn’t give a damn about the girls. He went on to say he understood that ordinary people would use Twitter to express their outrage but that it was not good enough for the leader of the free world.
It really isn’t all that difficult.
Yep. Bread and circuses. Proles are the easily controlled sheep
So he’s not making fun of the kidnapped girls, just making fun of Michelle Obama for supporting those trying to pressure the Nigerian government to try and recover the girls. That’s so much better. He probably should have just stayed out of it altogether.
Oh, come on. I want to see Christian girls raised as raped Muslims? I have already compared this story to the brilliant Japanese feature film about female slavery called “Sansho the Bailiff.” I watched it shortly after this story broke.
I agree with YOU on 99.9% of the issues so I’m surprised you can’t see through the impotence and malfeasance of our government on this issue. A cardboard sign is something our homeless do - not our presidents.
Well, you see and hear what you want to hear. I can’t help you there.
“just making fun of Michelle Obama”
She is married to the one guy in the world that could order the rescue mission of those girls. Instead, like a liberal ALWAYS does, she plays victim.
So has Nigeria requested we provide troops for a rescue mission? Or are you saying we just need to invade anyway?
Jon Stewart, like most lib commentators, has mean streak and most often looks angry. COntrast that with RUSH, who has fun making them lok silly.
Don’t liberals put those stupid stickers on their cares that read “mean people suck” - kinda funny as they advertise their hypocrisy.
And those girls are not our girls. They belong to their parents.
Bump and BUMP! And if it was really about getting the girls back ... the best way to do so would be to take the Mossad up on their offer ... (rather than a stupid twitter campaign)
I have long thought that what benefits Rush Limbaugh directly (controversy gets him ratings), isn't what translates into getting votes for conservatives.
One could easily argue that (aside from Michelle Obama, who is clearly doing it for attention), regular people are hashtagging SaveOurGirls to get the attention of politicians, not Boko Haram. These girls were missing for two weeks before much was said on the news - all most people saw was the #SaveOurGirls stuff.
The people who have tweeted #SaveOurGirls or posted it to Facebook have been across the political spectrum as far as I can tell.
This was tone deaf at best. If joking about the kidnapping and probable rape of hundreds of children is funny or an opportunity to make a statement, I guess I just don't get it.
If making fun of regular people is funny or an opportunity to make a statement, I guess I just don't get that, either.
Right, that’s why he’s not so successful ..oh, wait (MEMO to you: your posting trail on this thread does not stand you in good stead)
Give it a rest .controversey does not get Rush ratings ..sheesh ..so many Freepers on this thread being outted as sheep for the main stream media spin.
It’s your right to like Rush or not, but you will be corrected when you are just flat out factually wrong about him.
Another example of the SRM getting their “facts” from media matters. Rush was telling his audience that the # campaign is dumb, no matter what the subject. Social media is not the way to get things done.
