I call it the Doormat Republican’s failed fool’s game of “Nicey-Nice.”

Could be.

If a pol wants to energize the base they can get them excited by attacking. If they want to draw in more neutral voters they must tone down the message.

I've had quite enough of wishy washy pubs. I'll listen to Sarah with pleasure, thanks.

I just fear it takes more than that to win elections. I'll be the first to admit I have no answers.

Fair enough.

Dole, McCain and Romney all ran with no fire in the belly.

I can only find a handful of Republicans who have fire in the belly; Cruz, Lee, Gowdy, Gomert.

Political victory always goes to the politician that stays on Offense.

My question to you is as follows:

“What is the probability of a Republican politician being able to stay on Offense if he /she does not have consistent fire in the belly?”
