NEW YORK -- It took nearly the entire draft, but Michael Sam and the NFL finally made history.
The St. Louis Rams used the 249th pick in the seventh round to select Sam, who has officially become the league's first openly gay player.
Being picked by St. Louis means Sam will stay in the state where he played college football as a standout at the University of Missouri.

Certainly the St. Louis Ram's have ... anything they do from this point forward that doesn't favor "Sam the Ram" is going to be met with howls of homophobia .....
Better get used to it - their lease is up at the end of this year, and they'll be moving back to LaLaLand.Short term? The Rose Bowl. They just got permission from Pasedena to host additional games every year, enough to accommodate an NFL season.
Where will they play? Maybe Jack Kemp Stadium at Occidental College, which would be available on Sundays. They wouldn't have to worry about losing TV coverage by not selling out, since it only seats 2,400.

During a commercial break in tonight’s NASCAR race from Kansas City, the sports anchorette at FOX showed a clip of Michael Sam getting the news that he had been drafted, and Sam was hugging and kissing his effeminate boyfriend.

I watched the Miami/Brooklyn game today and didnt even see the flaming homo play. I dont think he has played any minutes these entire playoffs..just a bench warmer but hey picking him was “Brave” dont ya know
You know what would be interesting though and what would absolutely destroy the libs, is if conservatives accepted gays. To me, being a conservative is all about freedom, utmost freedom above everything else. I like what Ted Nugent said when he was interviewed by Piers Morgan “If your son told you he was gay how would you react?” And Ted said “I would tell him knock yourself out. I find gay sex utterly repulsive, it gets me sick just thinking about it, but if that is what you are into, more power to you” and I tend to think that way as well. What right does the government have telling someone how they should “get off”? I stopped watching Brooklyn ever since they signed him. he does not play, waste of a roster slot just to appease the weirdo crowd. The White House resident even made a statement about Sam. World War Three is getting ready to start and he is concerned about some scrub flamer.
Even though as a Laker fan I cant stand LeBron James(Also because he’s a huge Obama kiss ass and promoted Commiecare) I still root for the Heat over the Brooklyn Fairies..the only reason why they signed him is to get media attention, it’s not like he can actually play..throughout the years in the NBA he averaged 2 minutes a game..yep TWO MINUTES..he comes out as a fudge packer and all of a sudden he’s the bees knees..they just come out as gay to get on a good team
