Liberal comedian Bill Maher has some remorse for one of his former punchlines—Monica Lewinsky—after reading her essay in Vanity Fair.
“I was moved by it. I gotta tell you, I literally felt guilty,” Maher said Friday on HBO’s “Real Time with Bill Maher.”
Maher said he was moved after reading what Lewinsky described in the pages of the magazine as a time in which she was suicidal.
“I remember doing a million Monica Lewinsky blow job jokes, and I kinda feel bad,” the late-night host said. Maher said he understands why Lewinsky is coming out now after ten years of silence.
“She says it out there, which is basically, ‘I’ve spent 20 years in infamous person prison, because what? I had an affair in my early 20s,’” Maher said, who noted other girls have an “experimental phase” with club bouncers or fraternity brothers. “People have worse problems, but I am sympathetic to her,” he said.
Not as sympathetic to the scandal was Arianna Huffington, a guest on Maher’s show who said it is “not a question sex, but of judgment.”
Huffington said she knows 20 women in Washington who “would’ve been happy to give Bill Clinton a blow job.”
“And would’ve kept their mouth shut afterwards…So why pick a 22-year-old intern?” Huffington said

Hell, Ariana probably knows 20 women in her own office who meet that spec.
She probably has 20 guys in her office who would service the present day President.

I remember sitting through those waste of time corporate classes on sexual harrassment given by feminazis while the news of Clinton and how N.O.W. supported him was playing every day.
Really? That's his take on the President of the United States cheating on his wife and getting BJ's from a naive intern in the Oval Office? I swear, this so-called "funny" man has no sense of decorum, honor, or respect for the White House. I couldn't hate him more. Yes, I said HATE! I can't believe I once went to one of his shows with other Freepers. That was when his show was called, "Politically Incorrect". He started off that way but then went full blown leftist. F*** him and HBO for allowing him to spew his nonsense. Maher, you're a pr**ck, if ever there was one. I wish you a long and miserable life.
Monica was not naive.
Uh, because Lewinsky was in the cross hairs and Linda Tripp saved her ass with the blue dress and DNA. To bad the other abused women by Bill Clinton were not as fortunate (just put some ice on it). Hillary's so-called anti-bimbo campaign was very effective. The Clintons are horrible people. They have been since their college days.
And yet I put the blame mostly on the Senate who couldn't be bothered to look at the evidence to try Billy after being Impeached. Funny thing is, while Billy and Hillary were socialists, they still can't hold a candle to Hussein's flat out Marxism and all the laws he refuses to enforce or the ones he breaks.

Sure she was. She was just a young intern who the President of the US took advantage of. Or maybe she was just dumb. Either way, Billy was responsible. He was supposed to be the adult, rather than a horny teenager.

with ol' slick, he had an ongoing pattern of affairs. so he's either missing/not getting something from the home life or it takes us to another area.

if this is the case then the potential a foreign power to have gained control over the president via blackmail would have been tremendous. to trap a politician in a "honeypot" is not new.
imagine if lewinsky worked for the chi-coms. the damage that could have been done.
for Lewinsky, she knew what she was doing. by the time you're 22 you've been on a least one or two dates...hopefully. you may have tried things on those dates or you knew a friend who did.
she was a white house intern. I'm sure that not all of the interns were up and early on Sunday mornings for church. I'd bet it was a pretty hard partying group. for her to try and paint herself as naïve doesn't work in her "rebranding" attempt.
