That really gets me. Song of the South is an inspiration for one of the rides, which would naturally cause people to want to see the movie. Yet the politically correct people who run Disney are throwing away big numbers of sales of that movie. All to prove how liberal and politically correct they are.

Get a copy of Harold LLoyd’s FEET FIRST. Best is hilarious in it.

Disney jusr finished building a very costly Harry Potter section at DW - but the Potter craze seems dead now.

Humor is subjective and to each his own.

I remember seeing The Gods Must Be Crazy in a packed theatre and we all laughed throughout. However, I couldn’t wait to get my wife to go and we went to a matinee with hardly anyone in the theatre. We didn’t laugh much and she kept looking at me as if to ask “What was the big deal?’

Of course I may be the only person who has ever seen Brazil twice.

And have you read where Disney is “editing” The Jungle Book?

Something about King Louie I believe. Not PC.

By withdrawing it from the market, Disney is making it a cult classic.

Willie Best was a different actor. In a few of his early roles, he was billed as “Sleep ‘n Eat,” I believe. Actually, I always thought Best was a pretty good comedian, despite catering to the stereotype. Never cared much for Fetchit, who sometimes seemed downright demented.

Peckinpah stayed with Four-Star Productions and started up “The Westerner” series with Brian Keith, in 1960. Great, great series, with several episodes that are absolute knockouts of half-hour tv-western fare. Unfortunately, the series got axed before it even came close to running a full season.

Went to see Fatal Attraction in a suburban megaplex in Sacramento. I noticed two black ladies coming dow the row over my right shoulder and take a seat behind me. A few dozen folks in the theatre. Settled into the movie and everything quiet in the audience.

SPOLIER ALERT:

Then there was a scene where the camera pans in from the cage in the back yard quickly into the kitchen where there was a large boiling pot.

I jumped out of my seat when from directly behind me there was a loud exclamation: “Lord, she done boiled they rabbit.?”

They had a good laugh, as did I after my heart settled down.

I have been in movies in black neighborhoods in LA and some of them are like the Rocky Horror Picture Show. Everyone talking back and co-signing with the movie, no costumes however.

Thanx for the correction. Trying to recall something I watched almost 60 years ago.

They also bring dinner with them. I’ve seen them bring out entire chicken dinners during movies.

Now this is fun if it’s a bad movie. Problems arise when you’re watching a good movie.

I always assume I will not hear the movie.

I’m in control of my work schedule, so I can see movies early on Mondays, a traditional light time.

Inevitably, a middle and or senior couple will sit near me, in a sparsely attended movie, and then proceed to do commentary throughout as if they are sitting in their living rooms.

I would rather attend a movie with a bunch of kids, at least I know what to expect. But kids don’t usually attend movies I’d like to see: Railway Man, Locke etc.

I have had visions of my death having been shot when asking someone to be quiet in a movie.

Have you ever sat in a near-empty theater to only have someone come down the aisle and sit right in front of you? Torment!

Was traveling for work and went to a monday night showing in La Mirada CA.

I was the first one in and then a guy came down the aisle and sat right behind me. Moving into his seat he bumped the back of mine. I went all the way down the row and up two to get away and keep the guy in my sight. Eventually about 8 people and spread out.

A kid was running up and down the aisle repeatedly. I reach out and caught him with my left armed curled around his waist. I sternly exclaimed “Knock it off!” He went back to his seat near the front. Mother or whoever it was constantly looking over her shoulder in my direction. A lot of smiles elsewhere.

I am not a passive person, usually the first one to speak out when a crowd seems puzzled or hesitant about doing anything. I am sure someday, I’ll pay a price or someone will.

It’s brought up at shareholder meetings with shareholders lobbying for it to be released.

The CEO, Iger, answered no way. Not in those exact words, but that’s essentially what he said.
