It's true. Mexico has as much of an immigration problem as we do. The central americans go through Mexico. They look Mexican.

With all the crimes by our US government is engaging in, the immigration discussion is ridiculous.

I applaud Cuellar's efforts anyway. That is the right way to do things.

I thought this was going to detail efforts to assist them on entering into the US.

He hopes the U.S. will help fund creation of the Mexican border patrol...

So to form Mexico's own Border Patrol they need money from us??? Words fail...

The article somewhat admits what has been a simple fact all along - Mexico’s elitist socialist rulers have simply outsourced to the USA their social-welfare spending for their lowest, least-educated classes, by encouraging them to go to the USA.

It’ll be interesting to watch Mexico’s dysfunctional government attempt a border patrol agency. Maybe now there can be serious efforts to build a wall.

The central americans are just passing through, meheeeco is not their destination. And any border patrol on their northern border would be to keep their compatriots from returning….

How long before the drug cartels infiltrate the Mexican border patrol with their own henchmen? If it comes about, the Mexican BP is just as likely to be a border escort service that provides safe crossing for all sorts of drug traffickers and other illegal crossers with a little folding money.

Will they will permit the return of Mexicans who are in the US illegally or will their objective be to stop illegals from re-entering Mexico?

I wouldn't get too excited about Cuellar's efforts. You have to check his motives first. This is about making sure that Mexicans keep the inside track for illegal labor and sending money back to Mexico. Cuellar has been and always will be about the interests of Mexicans, not Americans.

I had to read this three times to see if it wasn't the Semi-News. Mexico talking about being victimized by illegal immigration?!

Since Obama says we can’t afford to build the fence, maybe Mexico will split the cost with us? Hey, and they have construction experience.

“I applaud Cuellar’s efforts anyway. That is the right way to do things.”

Yet, the guy has a D next to his name, thus I suspect he does everything he can to undermine our own Border Control efforts.

I lived in México for years—they shoot to kill on their own southern border and with impunity.

Read it now and believe it when it is too late. They’re setting up the NAU’s southern border control.
