I'm very busy today, and don't have much time to spend on this thread, but here is my heartfelt APPLAUSE for El Rushbo for *finally* talking about the Benghazi cover-up today! It's about time.
Hopefully Rush's Donald Sterling / NBA discussions are over...
I am afraid we have not heard the last of the Sterling matter.
There are to many rich AA citizens chiming in for it to go away anytime soon.
Many of us, like Nutmeg, myself and countless other veteran freepers are long-time Rush listeners and supporters. I've been fortunate to have been able to listen to him virtually every day possible for over 22 years. He's been my mentor, my guide and almost like a family member.
We don't chime in on every thread every day, every week, every month every year with kudos to Rush. It would look sycophantic and silly. Absence of constant criticisms generally signifies a host or talk show pundit is doing a pretty good job.
Occasionally, comments and questions which appear to be "slamming" appear on the Rush threads....especially lately when he's been broadcasting a lot of fluff and avoiding key issues, Bundy, Benghazi, Ukraine......
We know he had ear surgery, but he appears, thankfully, to be in full command and in possession of his considerable powers of analysis and brilliant ad lib ability. It's the bottom-of-the-list topics and Conservatism 101 he's been beating to death lately.
So, we who have noticed Rush's recent boring, non-cutting-edge, over-lengthy analysis of unimportant, anecdotal, social-culture events in a school or town board or dog pound in Nowheresville, Indiana, plus being consistently 48 hours behind in commenting on breaking news....well, we feel rather compelled to comment on the Rush threads to see if others notice what we are noticing.
It's certainly a rather new phenomenum to have one's posts interpreted as "knocking" Rush. Freeper "my life" wants to know why we dare to post critiques instead of constant kudos. As a self-appointed nanny of our posts, freeper "mylife" has now resorted to monitoring our posts and name-calling....and we, who are Rush fans, suddenly are "malcontents"...and not doing right by the Big Guy on this board.
Get a life, "mylife".
