First lady Michelle Obama announced Wednesday the launch of a nationwide philanthropic effort to raise millions of dollars to help military families receive the support they need.
Under the Philanthropy-Joining Forces Impact Pledge, more than 30 organizations are promising to raise $102 million for military families to help with things such as improving schools on military bases and helping families transition when a service member returns home. This is in addition to $62 million in commitments that exist.
"Right now we are in a pivotal moment for our military families and our country," Obama said at an event at the American Red Cross, noting that after 13 years, the war in Afghanistan will be ending.
Obama said America cannot forget its military families.

Yeah, this is the stuff our taxes should be doing, not hauling her fat azz non-stop around the world or bribing potential voters with food stamps.

Yep, follow the money...how much of it will go to the vets??
Don't trust this marxist bytch...could be another ploy to cop money from one group to give to....themselves! Socialists/communists/marxists LIE, that's what they do. Men and women of the military, don't fall for it...obozo thinks he can cut you off at the ankles and then turn around and throw you some promised crumbs..no guarantee, just promised.
Give obozo and his moochie “wife” the finger, like he gives you when he feels like it. He IS the enemy in this country, and you took an oath to protect and defend this country, the Constitution, our liberty and freedom. Say NO, and turn your backs, silently, that is

I am cynical. Given the Crony Capitalism that this administration has been known for ( green energy for starters ) how will this not be an opportunity to show your "goodness" by joining their cause to prevent not getting in their "spotlight".
If El-Rushbo and his favorite Marine Charity did it ( ditto that Levin etc etc etc ) and 95 to 99 cents of every dollar went to our troops and families I could see that working.
But with this crew, where will the transparency be and what percentage will it take to run this....

Michelle Obama, who is know to loath the US military, is suddenly spearheading a charm offensive to help soldiers after 6 years of the Obama Administration's policies of destroying the military and putting individual soldiers at such risk due insane rules of engagement.
These insane rules of engagement imposed on out troops are so restrictive to our soldiers in the field and so favorable to the enemy that they casualty rate in Afghanistan alone is THREE TIMES the casualty rates in both Iraq and Afghanistan combined at the most active time of open hostilities at the heights of the War on Terror under George Bush and his rules of engagements.
This sudden and much belated concern is perfectly timed to coincide with recent Benghazi revelations.
These people in the Obama Admin must really think we are that stupid.

Let me get this straight. Obama can just give away trillions for “infrastructure” and other “stimulus” projects, but they have to talk to philanthropic organizations to raise money for veterans?
To: Red Steel
What? Why is this philanthropic effort needed? Could it be that our own government is letting our bravest down?

Michelle is trying to knock the VA hospital out of the headlines.
They are stealing money from vets' healthcare probably to pay for Medicaid. So she must pretend that $1 million shows she is compassionate.
