I wonder why he waited 24 years to complain about it? It sounds to me like regardless of whether his wife knew about this legal technicality when they married, Grayson certainly did. He entered into the marriage knowing that it was technically void (though probably subject to state laws concerning "common law" relationships). He'll probably win this case on that technicality, even though he evidently knew about the problem and allowed the wedding to proceed 24 years ago.
What a snake.
