NBA legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar attacked the collective outrage emanating from Americas media over Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterlings alleged racist remarks, calling the publication of a private conversation sleazy and wondering why earlier, more public manifestations of racism failed to similarly shock.
In an op-ed published in Time, Abdul-Jabbar explains that were witnessing a veritable finger-wagging Olympics . . . all over the latest in a long line of rich white celebrities to come out of the racist closet.
Yes, Im angry, too, Abdul-Jabbar admits, but not just about the sins of Donald Sterling. Ive got a list.

YOU DON'T SEE THAT IN THE PRESS MUCH!

Here's another way Abdul-Jabbar 'gets it'... Looks like there's an adult in the room.. Thanks Abdul Jabbar - nice to hear a grown-up voice of reason...
She claims that she did not release the recording...
I agree with Roger Murdoch.
Airplane! (1980)
Roger Murdock: Flight 2-0-9’er, you are cleared for take-off.
Captain Oveur: Roger!
Roger Murdock: Huh?
Tower voice: L.A. departure frequency, 123 point 9’er.
Captain Oveur: Roger!
Roger Murdock: Huh?
Victor Basta: Request vector, over.
Captain Oveur: What?
Tower voice: Flight 2-0-9’er cleared for vector 324.
Roger Murdock: We have clearance, Clarence.
Captain Oveur: Roger, Roger. What’s our vector, Victor?
Tower voice: Tower’s radio clearance, over!
Captain Oveur: That’s Clarence Oveur. Over.
Tower voice: Over.
Captain Oveur: Roger.
Roger Murdock: Huh?
Tower voice: Roger, over!
Roger Murdock: What?
Captain Oveur: Huh?
Victor Basta: Who?
Joey: Wait a minute. I know you. You’re Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. You play basketball for the Los Angeles Lakers.
Roger Murdock: I’m sorry, son, but you must have me confused with someone else. My name is Roger Murdock. I’m the co-pilot.
Joey: You are Kareem! I’ve seen you play. My dad’s got season tickets.
Roger Murdock: I think you should go back to your seat now, Joey. Right, Clarence?
Captain Oveur: Nahhhhhh, he’s not bothering anyone. Let him stay here.
Roger Murdock: But just remember, my name is...
[showing his nametag]
Roger Murdock: ROGER MURDOCK. I’m an airline pilot.
Joey: I think you’re the greatest, but my dad says you don’t work hard enough on defense.
[Kareem gets angry]
Joey: And he says that lots of times, you don’t even run down court. And that you don’t really try... except during the playoffs.
Roger Murdock: [breaking character] The hell I don’t! LISTEN, KID! I’ve been hearing that crap ever since I was at UCLA. I’m out there busting my buns every night. Tell your old man to drag Walton and Lanier up and down the court for 48 minutes.
If you look back through Kareem’s life you’ll see lots of instances where his private life was made public in very sordid ways. He understands perfectly how the press works and how his liberal friends take advantage of this kind of situation. Been there, done that.
There was so much more clarity and honesty when we had freedom of speech and freedom of thought. Part of living in a free sociiety is being able to handle "being offended" and move on.
Interesting that someone such as Kareem who thrived in that lost world of freedom gets it and will speak out. The minority leaders today, for all of their macho and power-tripping, are thin-skinned cry babies in comparison. In the words of that great philosopher Don Henley: "get over it".
It’s a slippery slope, where does it end.

What the old man said is private and his own business. Only in America is your life ruined for private thoughts. Say one disparaging thing about blacks or homosexuals. You can not have personal thoughts that do not conform to the liberal mindset. Say what you want, when you want, but beware your life is over for all intents and purposes because you have expressed a personal opinion, which is forbidden in the Socialist States of America.
No what makes him sick is he pays dumb, illiterate men millions of dollars to throw a ball through a hoop, and most when the camera is off act like the lowlife gangbangers they are, snorting their dope and running around with white bimbos, who wouldn’t be caught looking at them if not for money. It makes him sick that American sports has turned into nothing but a professional league of gangbangers, who think the world owns them a living because they can shoot a basketball straight. How many are lawyers, doctors, airline pilots, nuclear engineers? How many actually do something to better society? I can think of one black doctor and his last name is Carson.
