If memory serves me right, she has a time window to appeal the decision (not sure how long). If she had been the original owner of the property and the only owner of the property she SHOULD BE entitled to “Homestead” money or anything greater than the tax money she owed but had not yet paid.
You may be right on that. I’ve not dealt with that sort of thing before, so it’s new to me.
I just think it’s really rotten to try to take an old woman’s home. If it’s a lot of money, then I suppose there is reason for it, and I would have to accept some things I wouldn’t want to.
But for $6 and change... come one. This is evil.
