One could make the argument that being against rooster fights is being bigoted and against diversity, just to turn things against the liberals.

Cockfighting is very popular among Mexicans, is it not?
It's a diversity thing. White libs don't understand.

The statists are unbelievable.
And why not? Our side is so easily spooked.

Wow.....that was a pretty nasty setup by the McConnell campaign....wonder how they pulled that one off. Would like to see a copy of the invitation letter that Matt Bevin received.

I'll bet they were smoking Cigarettes there too. And eating hydrolyzed plant protein

Maybe, but candidates have to be smart enough to understand that its the way it is, and they have to have the intelligence and instincts to avoid these kinds of traps. This will probably sink yet another candidacy, like Akin and Mourdock. Its really a shame to have candidates who are right on the issues but don't have the brains to run a smart campaign.
Like we learned with Obama and the other 'Rats, we aren't going to beat them playing the nice guy. We can play the gentlemen in these campaigns and go down to defeat after defeat. Because while we're making nice, they are kicking us in the nuts. We've got to avoid being sacked and hit them right back, only harder.

Well this smells of McConnell. But Bevin’s handlers should have kept him away from the event due to how the optics would play. And if Bevin lied, well that’s not a very bright thing to do.

“Twenty years from now, we will all remember the time when the East Coast con-man thought so little of Kentuckians that he pathologically lied to us about absolutely everything until an undercover camera caught him red-handed at a cockfighting rally, McConnell press secretary Allison Moore said.”
Such statements suggest a campaign that knows it is in trouble. McConnell’s team surely realizes they not only need to fend off Bevin’s challenge, they have to destroy him so completely as a viable option that they have a chance to bring enough of the base home in time to beat Allison Grimes in the general.
I don’t think it’s going to work. McConnell is probably going to be beat Bevin (I haven’t look at the latest numbers, just a gut feeling), but I don’t think he’s going to beat Grimes. IMHO, McConnell is what Lugar was in Indiana a couple years back, only on steroids: a guy in office so long he’s perceived as having long forgotten his state roots (and values) and become a creature of the Beltway.
(BTW, I have no love for cockfighting or the like, just commenting on McConnell’s response).

Cool, McConnell’s literally helping destroy our economy, but lets be concerned about this. Totally out of proportion, as usual.

So can any Freepers in KY tell me if Bevin has any chance? The polling I see is dismal. And yeah, still early, always tough to read the tea leaves sometimes, but I don’t see this one as looking god.
