I hope very much that Bundy was misquoted. But, if the report is accurate, he has done great damage. This goes beyond PC. He (Bundy) has stuck a "kick me" tag on his own ass.

He did say it, as part of a larger talk on government dependency. It is being taken way out of context.
But still - he is entitled to his own opinion, regardless of whether the leftards flip out or not, and they are using this as a way to distract from what they are doing to him and his family.

Could this be the real reason that Rush Limbaugh and other conservative leaders have been conspicuous in their absence on this issue? Rush has pretty good intuition.
Whether he said it or not is immaterial. The point of the overall piece is about a tyrannical government action. And the proponents of that government are again providing cover for that government with fact distortion, with Rand Paul and his ilk playing right into their hands...
