After Bundy's overtly racist remarks, let's see how far politicians run away from him.
The New York Times has overheard Cliven Bundythe Nevada rancher who, instead of paying decades of overdue grazing fees, met the Bureau of Land management with guns and a small militiasaying this:
"I want to tell you one more thing I know about the Negro," he said. Mr. Bundy recalled driving past a public-housing project in North Las Vegas, "and in front of that government house the door was usually open and the older people and the kids and there is always at least a half a dozen people sitting on the porch they didn't have nothing to do. They didn't have nothing for their kids to do. They didn't have nothing for their young girls to do.
"And because they were basically on government subsidy, so now what do they do?" he asked. "They abort their young children, they put their young men in jail, because they never learned how to pick cotton. And I've often wondered, are they better off as slaves, picking cotton and having a family life and doing things, or are they better off under government subsidy? They didn't get no more freedom. They got less freedom."
Expect every politician to back away from the issue.
"His remarks on race are offensive and I wholeheartedly disagree with him," Sen. Rand Paul said in a statement Thursday morning.

What was Racist about it?
That he was a White man pointing out the OBVIOUS problems in modern Black culture and the government as the root cause?
Oh heavens... How dare he... :-|
Its incredible how stupid some people are - but then bigots are never generally very bright in the first place.
HOWEVER, this issue is NOT about Bundy. This issue is about the BLM, Federal bureaucracies, corruption of entrenched incumbents (Harry Reid), states rights and the Constitution.
Somebody should tell Bundy to shut his mouth and let intelligent people handle this.
That’s what I am wondering. Maybe heard it from Harry Reid. He told the media that Romney hadn’t paid his taxes and they lapped it up.
Was wondering the same thing. Is he on a recording saying this?
For you maybe. I probably would have worded it better myself.
Bundy’s a rancher and apparently speaks plainly.
Nothing wrong with that, until the MSM comes in to slice and dice your opinion...
I think what Mr. Bundy meant was that picking cotton is preferable to sitting around not working and living off the govt handout.
The New York Times overheard. Stop right there.
ANd yet, here we have THIS guy - Dr. Kamau Kambon -

Who, by the way is advocating for the extermination of ALL white people, openly... and somehow, that’s not racist enough to catch the attention of The New York Times.
Of particular interest is the comments section below the video...and all of the psychotic lunatics that agree with him.
because the liberal media said so, we must believe it is the truth. The media will twist the truth to fit their agenda... That IS the truth.
Comparing life in the projects as worse than life on a plantation takes on multiple levels of thought and reaction.
When speaking publically, one does need to get their mouth in the same gear as the mind before opening the mouth.
I do understand the point Bundy was making, but it can just as easily be misconstrued, and therefore becomes a tool for the left to employ.
Hell, this now looks to be a political disaster.
All because Bundy could not STFU.
Hey brother...
See my post at #28 and the video. Amazing what’s considered “racist” versus what isn’t...
You are exactly correct. Bundy’s way of wording is was not correct but the sentiment behind it has been spoken by many here, Thomas Sowell, Victor Davis Hansen as well as many others.
And what about the ones in prison? And there are a LOT of ‘em.
Yeah, that’s pretty ‘whiffy’.
Time to turn the narrative around IMMEDIATELY. Blacks are slaves on the Democrap plantation. Let’s talk about THAT.
Fake but accurate.
The NY Times would never deal in hearsay. Right?
I agree. To me it's about the land dispute.
Whether Bundy is a racist , a child molester, a tax evader, left handed, or has a drinking problem etc. is not the issue. -tom
....you know, like Eric Holder’s “my people” comments or Obama’s “typical white person” racism.
