*Famed film director Spike Lee has expressed his desire to see the Trayvon Martin story told on the big screen.
During an interview with theGrio, Lee commended 27-year-old new director Ryan Coogler for bringing his acclaimed independent film, Fruitvale Station, the Oscar Grant story, to the big screen. He expressed his admiration for the film while stating that the film business isnt built in favor of young directors like Coogler to succeed.
Love it . Its great, Lee said of Fruitvale Station. But its something that I have been doing for 15 year [sic]. I teach film. That is my job to help young filmmakers to become professionals in this tough business, so Im happy for him Im happy for any young filmmaker that gets their first feature film made, because Lord knows the odds are against you. This business is not set up for young people to succeed.
The similarities between Oscar Grants story and Trayvon Martins are very apparent in how both left thousands of people around the country still demanding justice.
Similar to Grants story, Lee touched on the need for having a story like Trayvons turned into a film.
Im not saying that Im going to do it, but I hope that there is something, the Malcom X director said. The first thing I think is there should be a documentary [about Trayvon Martin] before they do a narrative of it. Im not saying that Im doing either, Im just saying that I would like to see it.
This thing is not over yet, he continued. So I dont even know if it would be the right time to start, because its not over yet. Hopefully there will be some more time in court.

It would be in character for George Zimmerman to appear as himself, given his penchant to keep popping up in the news even when it is against his better interests.
When you’ve gone through the kind of ordeal he has, just for protecting your community and defending yourself from a thuggish assailant, you come back here and tell us how well you handled it.

I am just not that much into black racist fiction.
Can you just picture the oscar winning film, “Trayvon?” The 12 year old sweet boy in a cute hoodie, going for candy and then back to his daddy’s crib, when suddenly a very, very White Hispanic guy gets in his face and threatens his life and limb. Trayvon flails his helpless childlike arms at him but can’t get away before this Overly White Hispanic blows him away with his hidden assault pistol.
Oscars for both Jaden Smith as Trayvon and Gary Busey as Zimmerman.
Well, it’s not a biopic.
Must be a bio-fiction.
Great, a documentary on how to stuff a blunt and how to make and use Purple Drank.
Kill Whitey: An Oprah Film (solution)
Spike waste your money, but I won’t see it. Unless you make Tray on out as he was a thug.
Oops Tray on was auto corrected. It supposed to be Trayvon.

Yeah, and I would like to not watch it - ever.
I’d read OJ’s “ IF I did it” first.
For every white racist she can point to I can find as many or more black racists. The difference is the whites mostly admit they’re racist, the blacks mostly don’t, being duped and wanting to believe because they’re black they can’t be racist.
Honestly, I think that it would be a great movie to be an investor in. You just know it would make buttloads of money from all the idiots that we have in this country.
Let’s make some money on the dead black kid!
Little Tyrone Washington will play Trayvon...
And Danny Trejo will play George Zimmerman...
