I can feel the schadenfreude welling inside me as I read that a group of Cherokee women are preparing to confront Elizabeth Warren as she sets forth on a national book tour to publicize her new book. Sen. Warren matters a lot more than most freshman senators because she must be considered a near-frontrunner for the Democratic 2016 nomination if Hillary Clinton decides that playing with her forthcoming grandchild is better way to occupy her time than going through the meat grinder as a candidate.
In Elizabeth Warren’s new book, A Fighting Chance, Warren claims to be “hurt and angry” that people criticized her claim to be Native American, specifically Cherokee. Warren blamed the Scott Brown campaign, the local Republican Party, and “some blogger.”

She is nearly unknown nationally making it easy to fabricate a backstory about her.

Warren is the Dem's next manufactured sock puppet like 0bama. Another teleprompter-hologram-project yourself on the blank screen-plastic candidate.
Members of the Cherokee tribe showed up to protest her when she ran for the senate - to no avail.
I hope she is forced from public life and held to ridicule for the rest of her life. I further hope her pension is taken as she got her job under false pretenses. Not that that ever happens in this messed up society we live in.
She looks more Lumbee than Cherokee.
The left has its purists, too. People who backed Dennis Kucinich, Mike Gravel, Paul Wellstone, Al Sharpton, Larry Agran, Jesse Jackson, Fred Harris, Shirley Chisholm. Howard Dean and Jerry Brown, too, maybe.
They don't like the Clintons who are seen as too corporate and Establishment and middle of the road, but they won't vote for Nader because they like Republicans even less.
Warren is probably better known and has gotten farther in the political process than the candidates these people usually vote for in primaries, so they talk her up now, even though she's not really very experienced and would make an awful president.

If Elizabeth Warren runs in 2016 and gets elected president, it will be proof that God has a sense of humor. A twisted, malicious sense of humor.

I doubt it. When her lying and cheating was made clear before she was elected, her constituents still voted for her. This pretty much kills the blackmail angle. However the tribes can be very determined to insure that she never again tries to capitalize on them, by reminding people that she is a fake and a fraud, and *not* Indian in any tangible way.
There is actually some risk involved in this, as it invites her to work against them when the law is being crafted.

I remember how the wise politicos chuckled back in February 2007 when an unknown, half-arsed, illegal immigrant, failed community organizer from Chicago announced he was running for the democratic nomination against the fabled Clinton juggernaut.
