A New Jersey college professor says he was suspended for posting online a photo of his daughter wearing a "Game of Thrones" T-shirt with a "threatening" quote on it.
Francis Schmidt, an art and 3-D animation professor at Bergen Community College in northern New Jersey, told The Record he posted the picture of his 7-year-old daughter Jan. 12 wearing a T-shirt with the "Game of Thrones" quote, "I will take what is mine with fire and blood."...
...A day after posting the photo, Schmidt told The Record that he was questioned as to whether the photo was a threat against the dean. Despite his explanation, Schmidt said he was suspended without pay for eight days and ordered to see a psychiatrist before he would be allowed back on campus.
When Schmidt asked the officials why they thought the quote was threatening, one said, "'when you see the word fire, then someone shows up with an AK-47 here shooting everybody,'" he told the paper.
"I had no idea what to say to that," Schmidt added. "For God's sake, I'm a middle-aged art professor. I don't own any firearms."

Or GOT is too white for public consumption, apparently.
Maybe next time he can get a shirt for his daughter with the “...and then they came for me” quote.
Then they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out because I was not a socialist;
Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out because I was not a trade unionist;
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out because I was not a Jew;
Then they came for me and there was no one left to speak out for me.

It does make me wonder, who lets a 7 year old watch that show. It’s an excellent show for adults, but it’s chock full of nudity, orgies, and very graphic butchery.
How is it a good show for adults, when it is wall-to-wall immorality?
I’ve never seen an episode, personally.
OH the humanity! academia shows just how smart they really are.
I find myself skipping through most of the claptrap....I really only want to see that blonde girl with the dragons and how she progresses in building her army in preparation to return home.
That, and waiting to find out when/if that little prick king gets his just rewards.
I have a “Firefly” t-shirt that says, “Also, I can kill you with my brain.” Good thing nobody at Walmart has called the police!
It’s entertaining, well written, acted and produced. A lot of good drama focuses on immorality. It may not be your cup of tea, to each their own. But I would never let a kid watch it.
The latest episode shows Joffrey’s demise. I’ve watched him expire about 5 times now. Good riddance.
Good...I have that DVR’d but haven’t watched it. Thanks!
Simple minded moron.
And it is by your example that your kid will learn what is proper or not, despite your words. :)
Good. It’s about time the Left feels threatened. They have run roughshod over liberty in this country far too long.
One symptom of a nation which has turned from God, in further states of moral degeneration, will naturally begin to turn inwardly upon itself, seeing enemies where none exist and attacking their own.
Couple this with those who are even more degenerate in their antichristian sentiments, such that they yearn for criminality, manifest by their thievery to satiate their worldly lusts, without obedience to the contractual protocols provided by God for national commerce,...and you have an unstable spiraling national governing degeneracy.
The only solution is for the nation to return to God by God’s mechanisms He provides for us to have fellowship with Him. His Plan is known only through faith in Christ.
Conservatives and FReepers understand what is happening and why it will not end well.
There almost needs to be a general legal fund for defense against liberal idiocy that would be used for specific cases and then to pursue institutions like this college to make them feel enough pain that they will curb their most deranged impulses.
