In a new poll of a hypothetical race between libertarian philanthropist and business leader Charles Koch and Democrat Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, Koch beats Reid by a huge margin, 42.2% to 29.9%.
The new poll, by the Washington Free Beacon, goes in line with other recent polls that show the Koch Brothers (Charles and David) of Koch Industries as being more popular than Reid, despite Reid’s unending campaign to vilify them.

It’s nice that Charles and David Koch donate help to Republicans but it might be time for them to step up and run for office. We need competent caring people... in charge - not just on the sidelines.

It would be interesting to know Koch’s name recognition level vs Reid’s. How many of the 42.2% were voting against Reid vs for Koch or both?

Charles Koch and David Koch are as different as night and day.
Charles is a businessman; David is a politician.
David Koch was the candidate for vice-president in 1980 in the Libertarian Party.
Reid continued. “It’s his hair. He’ll pull it for you anytime just to show you that it’s real.”
“I mean, he has hair like a 15-year-old,” he said, admiringly.
“My wife,” Reid said, “tells me all the time how handsome Pat Leahy is and [that she is] so glad that he doesn’t do a comb-over.”

Why not give Harry a brand new office ....in the Capitol's sub-basement, next to the furnace. Harry'll just love his brand-new cardboard desk (some assembly required). Although I hear phone service isn't hooked up down there yet. Harry can always use smoke signals (from the handy furnace) to communicate.
And give 'ol Harry a comfortable chair---and tell him not
to worry about all those silly electrical switches laying around.
