And technically the salvation has not yet happened, just the blood payment for it.

The salvation will happen at the last trump, as the scriptures say it will.

Both, but at different times. Okay. So... you think that when Jesus comes back, Israel will become the kingdom on Earth but meanwhile there’s a kingdom in Heaven too? Like, Israel for the ones who are still alive, and Heaven for the ones who are already dead?

Actually, earlier responders to your post brought forth several arguments against your....”theory”. Including the martyrdom of the disciples etc. Without going back to specify, I refer you to earlier refutations and observations by other posters and will attempt to address this post. I read the Bible daily.

Regarding painstaking lineage, it was primarily Matthew who did this. Other gospel writers mentioned Mary, Joseph, Elizabeth, John the Baptist etc. but Matthew laid it out all the way back to Abraham. It’s late where I am and I don’t have the time to state in my own words so I’ll credit this from the Life Application Study Bible (NIV):

“In the first 17 verses we meet 46 people whose lifetimes span 2000 years. All were ancestors of Christ, but they varied considerably in personality and experience. Some where heroes of the faith (Abraham, Ruth, David) and others were more shady (Raham, Tamar). Still others were downright evil (Manassah, Abijah). God’s work in history is not limited by human failures and sin and he uses all kinds of people to accomplish His goals.”

Obviously it did matter where Jesus’ lineage came from because it was forecast with breathtaking accuracy centuries earlier. Yes, he sacrificed for all mankind, but the Messiah’s ancestors were clearly promised into Judah’s line by God. Actually both Mary and Joseph were both direct descendents of David.

Historical record as you call it, also records His resurrection and subsequent reappearances in bodily form to the disciples, and others on numerous occasions. If you are willing to concede his crucifixion, why do you feel the need to ignore the highly guarded yet empty tomb and His reappearances? Or is only the OT and certain parts of the NT to be trusted?

Perhaps I should assert that Abraham is only historically recorded as being called out of Ur by God. Perhaps Joseph’s brothers never threw him into the pit or sold him into slavery. Perhaps Moses never actually went up the mountain and Joshua never fought and conquered multiple lands for Israel. I mean, we really don’t *know* these things,.... right?

Have a Happy Passover.

The Irish still don’t consider themselves to be British?

There's no "consider." They aren't British. They aren't subjects governed by the Crown. They are Irish.

The only Irish (who didn't immigrate to Scotland or England) who consider themselves British are some of the folks in a few counties in Ulster known as Northern Ireland, which is part of Britain for now.

Some were fishermen, sure, but he clearly had a few who were literate.

NO doubt; but quite a backing away from:

... he had well-educated followers ...

There will be an Earthly kingdom for 1000 years, then the final battle when Satan is released, then the entire physical universe flashes out in a moment with a “great noise.”

Thank you for posting Peter’s response ...

And Jesus told him that he had NOT figured that out on his own; but that the Holy Spirit had revealed it to him.

One poster argued that disciples would never die for a politician. I pointed out that back then politics and religion were the same, and that was the end of the conversation as far as I could tell. So no, although people on here have disagreed with me, no one has said anything I could call a refutation. Just disagreement.

Okay, good, let's look at this. If the Messiah's job was to save all mankind, not just the Jews, why did he have to be descended from Judah? His goal doesn't seem to have anything to do with Judaism.

The most likely explanation is that he was a political figure murdered by political enemies whose story then became fodder for various legends.

Most likely?

Get thee behind me; Satan.

I’m not backing away at all: he had well-educated followers. He had fishermen too, hey, that’s great. But the fact that there is written record means some of his followers were educated. That’s simple logic.

I don’t think you can claim to know what “all Jews knew.”<>HMMMmmm...

People 'claiming' stuff usually get busted to provide some data upon which their claims are based.

There will be an earthly kingdom for 1000 years, and then it ends and there’s just the kingdom of Heaven, then, right? Do I understand you correctly?

The “New Jerusalem” is what is prophesied as the final dwelling place for Yehova and his elect.

It is described in some detail in the Revelation, including its size.

That's the most we can really say.

You seem to have overlooked the very important #5:

He ROSE FROM THE TOMB.

1 Corinthians 15:12-22   NKJV

12 Now if Christ is preached that He has been raised from the dead, how do some among you say that there is no resurrection of the dead? 13 But if there is no resurrection of the dead, then Christ is not risen. 14 And if Christ is not risen, then our preaching is empty and your faith is also empty. 15 Yes, and we are found false witnesses of God, because we have testified of God that He raised up Christ, whom He did not raise up—if in fact the dead do not rise. 16 For if the dead do not rise, then Christ is not risen. 17 And if Christ is not risen, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins! 18 Then also those who have fallen asleep in Christ have perished. 19 If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men the most pitiable.

20 But now Christ is risen from the dead, and has become the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. 21 For since by man came death, by Man also came the resurrection of the dead. 22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all shall be made alive.

Nope; just very full of a lot of stuff that is not true.

We have a Doubting Thomas on our hands...
