A 29-year-old Polk County teacher was arrested Monday night on charges of having sex with a 17-year-old student during a four-month romance that involved a pregnancy and abortion, Lakeland police said.
Jennifer Christine Fichter, an English teacher at Central Florida Aerospace Academy, told the boy’s mother that she was in love with her son and admitted to several sexual encounters, police said.

Whether the teacher is male or female, when they say the ‘relationship’ was real, like one between peers - they Are Telling The Truth!
Consider many teachers as less than bright, and products of a hyper-Liberal education, and what else would one expect?
Remembering Sowell’s accurate observation that the Education Department is home habitat for the lowest decile of IQ tested students/faculty and most colleges, such behavior makes sense.
After all, Liberals are taught if it feels good, it is good. “Follow your feelings”, “make love, not war”, ad nauseam.

I understand what the teaching profession has attracted; my kids describe teachers under 30 (of both genders) who try much too hard to be “cool”. There is currently a glut of people now in NJ trying to get these jobs; the idea of working 180 six-hour days is irresistable to people who grew up loathing real work.
