Beck loves to invoke Ghandi, so here's a quote from Ghandi:

"I do believe that where there is only a choice between cowardice and violence I would advise violence. Thus when my eldest son asked me what he should have done, had he been present when I was almost fatally assaulted in 1908, whether he should have run away and seen me killed or whether he should have used his physical force which he could and wanted to use, and defended me, I told him that it was his duty to defend me even by using violence."

The Doctrine Of The Sword by M. K. Ghandi

“Among the many misdeeds of the British rule in India, history will look upon the Act depriving a whole nation of arms as the blackest.”

Gandhi and his actions were the opening shots by the Third World against western world rule. King just brought that battle technique to continental America. They both had the cunning to recognize that Europe was exhausted, in the case of Gandhi, and that the American was trivially tired and simply wanted to play with their recent wealth acquisition, in the case of King and his financial supporters.
